Pony CYOA Discussion Thread [SFW/NSFW(?)]

Hello, I’ve decided to establish a pony cyoa discussion thread where one can discuss, share, and promote various cyoas.
 
Now what is a cyoa? A cyoa is short for Choose Your Own Adventure. An interactive form of fiction where a character and/or situation is created by an writer or artist and they in turn ask it’s players what to do.

I’ve only recently learned about CYOA’s so needless to say I’m not very familiar with them (save for one which I’ll get to in a bit). I do like the concept though and I think it’s a good way for the MLP fandom to have fun while in between episodes and seasons. It’s a form of fanwork that’s very interactive.
 
So far the only CYOA I’ve paid attention to (and lightly partcipated in) is Colt Quest. I came across it while looking up a tag and came across one of the pages, then checked out a few more pages before becoming hooked (thanks, Psker, for bringing that here on Derpibooru BTW). I’ll admit I’m not very accustomed to posting in /mlp/, I wish I could play from Derpibooru, but eh, as long as there’s one place to do it at all. Didn’t know there are a few on fimfiction.net though.
 
I might check out more CYOA’s in the future.

Why is this here? For what reason? It’s a /mlp/ thing, and there is a discussion thread on /mlp/ for this. Why can’t you just keep this on 4chan?

Well this is simply an experiment. Not everyone that likes cyoas wants to go to /mlp/ to discuss it. Besides while most cyoas are on /mlp/ not all are. So this thread should hopefully allow those to be discussed here as well.
 
This thread might die or might not. We shall see. No harm is done.

Let’s discuss how stupid it is to put quests up on derpibooru. It’s a shitty platform for them, and anonpone already exists.

This is Psker though, he wants to be single handedly responsible for the popularity of quests. He already claimed his “Hard Work” was the reason CQ got so popular. It’s why he got so pissy when someone else started uploading CQ.

This is not a Psker forum thread though. In fact I’d like my presence on this thread to be transparent. ||But to clarify your concerns I was just disappointed that the other person had uploaded them without adding the description or properly tagging the artist and cyoa. ||

I am curious as know what that problem is. Or what I have done recently that was of poor tact. I like pony cyoas and other people here do too. So I made a thread for others to hopefully discuss and share in instead of having to go to a specific post/thread/site of their respective cyoa to discuss it.
 
But this is not the point of this thread, the CYOAS are, and this will be the last time that I will be discussed here. So please stay on topic.
 
So is there a cyoa you wish to share? A favorite moment or character?

Reminder that the 4chan /mlp/ choose your own adventures are designed by and for 4chan /mlp/ users. There is already a thread there for discussing cyoas. Having another one here is pointless outside of attracting unwanted attention from people that only want porn from quests, which is a detriment to the quests themselves and grating for the actual players that are dedicated to the story. Especially when they have to compete against people that are willing to throw a story on it’s head for quick lewds before leaving.
 
Considering also that you only upload lewd quests that you like psker, instead of quests such as Hijack. It’s already fairly obvious what you are doing and you should stop. It’s one thing to draw the attention of people that want a good solid adventure, it’s another to draw in people that want porn. If you really enjoy the cyoas as much as you claim to, then you should stop doing this.

Would you care to talk about Hijack? I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. From what I’ve seen it looks to be a cool action adventure series.

Didn’t you promise Hijacker you’d read it? What happened to that?

Why not discuss a little bit what that cyoa is about and who the characters are?

Why would I want to discuss something with you that you know nothing about? That would be rather one-sided. Go read it instead of wasting time with this. If you have the time to upload a dead quest and try to force a discussion from another website, you have the time to read Hijack.

Well this is a discussion forum. One should talk about what cyoa they like and why they like it. It’s not that hard. For example: I like the CYOA Life in Ponyville. The artist is sadly unknown, but it was unique in it’s approach to the “Anon in Equestria” genre with him being more quiet and reserved with concerns of being questioned and judged.
 

 
Sadly the cyoa ended years ago and only the first thread seems archived but it was rather well done and I would recommend any one that likes slice of life pony with an Anon in the mix to give it a read.

First of all, this is not 4chan. Nor is 4chan derpibooru. I personally dont see the problem with this thread existing, when the thread is about pony CYOAs and intended to be used to talk about them.  
I dont give two shits if there is another thread in 4chan, since 4chan is not the entire internet itself (even if some people see it a that), nor i care if you have a personal problem with the op on another website.
 
So, stay on topic. And drop this useless debate.

How can we not bring 4chan into this, if all the content we are supposed to discuss, is created and hosted on 4chan or a derivative of it.  
How can we not talk about Psker, if he is the sole reason why this content is uploaded and brought to derpibooru .
 
Calling psker out for the stuff he does is as relevant to this discussion as the “I like X” stuff that is going on right now.

So far the only CYOAs that are posted on Derpibooru are Coltquest and Foal Quest X, both of which fall into one of the many niches of pony quests as a whole. Until you manage to get people to read more than those two, this thread won’t be that successful past “I enjoyed this.” or “Can’t wait for more.”
 
Also, most discussion for CYOAs take place in their respective threads in their sites between the ones who play. I still don’t understand the point of this thread being titled “CYOA Discussion” unless it’s meant to talk about CQ or FQX alone.
