From Pokemon Y, I have used ALL my 6 Pokemon when I get the chance, when the Pokemon’s adversary is inmune to one of my Pokemon’s attack. Only in that grass gym, only using my Charizard was enough. I also use the Master Ball to capture the main Legendaries, and I also dont bother in using them for the League.
Only in Pokemon White 2 and Ultra Moon I have lost againts another trainer.

I use Master Balls on the main legendary, as in Mewtwo, Ho-oh, Lugia, Suicune, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma. I wouldn’t mind using a legendary Pokemon at the Pokemon League. After all I used Rayquaza in Emerald to defeat Drake and it’s at level 70. Before the Exp. Share in Pokemon X and Y, I would use only three Pokemon. Up until Pokemon Black and White, I would use two Pokemon. That, and up until Emerald I would use only one Pokemon. I would have HM slaves as the other Pokemon.
