Well, like DaKurgen said, it’s literally impossible to do bad as Lucio unless you’re just not touching your keyboard.
 
He also gets more output than the other support characters

The only reason you’d be happy with Lucio for any reason is if they removed him from the game.

I don’t think it’s particularly unreasonable to be fucking irritated as somebody who mains a support character and then there’s this other character who plays the same role as your main yet he’s the one’s almost considered the fucking mandatory pick. People just fucking ignore that because he’s a support character and they don’t want to admit that something so useful to them is OP, so I make it a point to be as fucking loud about it as possible.

Being honest, I actually do want to like the character. The fucker always looks so happy and like he’s having a good time and I like the concept behind the character itself with the passive healing/speed boosts allowing you to fire as well as an easier to play character if you don’t want to play a more difficult character at the moment, but right now he just needs a goddamn nerf to his passive effects. He just does too much and is way too effective, making him pretty much the clear cut choice for support. That irritates the shit out of me.

I hate to break it to you, but the PTR nerf does NOT change the whole “Lucio is a mandatory pick if we want a serious team” thing (though you probably already know that).
 
Lucio’s ridiculous football field sized heal radius and his unique to him and only him speed boost will always make him mandatory. Always.

I’m trying to look at it from a more optimistic perspective that this nerf is a sign of better things to come instead of looking at it here and now, because in the present, while the speed boost nerf helps, it won’t change the fact that he’s still the best support bar none as well as the easiest to play. The present is dark, but the future has potential to be bright.

Junkrat definitely seems to be the favorite defense character at least
 
I still have yet to play half the cast so that could still change but who knows
