Same, I guess most people under 20 wouldn’t even know whom Geno is, and for some reason Nintendo & Square/Enix try to pretend they never made that SMRPG game for some reason.
Granted, he made it as a Mii costume last game/s, Yoko Shimomura the music composer of SMRPG (and the M&L RPG games) does contribute to SSB’s soundtracks. Peach’s frying pan might be a lawyer-friendly reference to that game, (it was her strongest equip weapon) or it’s perhaps a nod to her role in modern “Chef” in “Game & Watch Gallery 2 & 4.”

I want coffiee
We are not getting Banjo, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, The Amazon, or the star of Brave Brave Spirit.
Death2
YOU WILL BOW TO ME.
My Sheik comment was a reference to the RiffTrax short “Mr. B Natural “, btw.

“Knew your father, I did!”
@Shepherd
Shame, the Amazon would’ve kicked ass with his head-bite attack.
Banjo seems unlikely as the Banio series, and Rareware itself are basically dead.

He ranked pretty high on the polls for Ultimate DLC characters with the Japanese fanbase though. Also there’s a Geno Spirit in the game (pretty sure there’s a Mallow one too).

Were you even SUPPOSED to know that Sheik was secretly Zelda to begin with?

That’s what people said about King K. Rool and a bunch of other characters. Not to mention Microsoft and Nintendo have been pretty buddy-buddy lately, and Banjo would certainly be a hell of a lot more likely than Minecraft Steve.

I COULD speculate…but I’m afraid I’ll be labeled as wrong and chased off this site.

There’s nothing wrong with being wrong, we don’t chase people away for petty things like that.
@Jarkes
Granted, Rare gave Nintendo the rights to all the DKC characters, like Diddy. Dixie, K.Rool, ect. So that was never really an issue. Banjo’s a bit of a different case.
@Great Plateau
Not unless you played Melee, or Brawl before “Ocarina.”
@Shepherd
While I’m a li’l burnt out on FE characters, (seriously, we have more of them then Zelda characters now) lance/ax characters would be a nice change of pace from all the sword characters.

I wouldn’t mind the Fire Emblem characters if half of them weren’t nearly identical to each other in playstyle. Ike, Robin, and Corrin are at least unique. But when you’ve got Chrom as an Echo Fighter of Roy, who HIMSELF was an Echo/clone of Marth originally, AND Lucina as Marth’s official Echo Fighter, that’s 4 out of 7 characters who all play very similarly to each other.

Not nesscessarily dead but owned by Microsoft.
And Microsoft is getting friendlier with Nintendo. So Banjo might make it. I’d rather take Banjo than STEVE from Minecraft.

Man I think I’m starting to run out of steam. Had two new challengers in back to back classic mode runs and lost to them both.
How exactly is the difficulty determined for those ones? Is it based on the intensity of the last battle when you run into them, or do they get progressively more difficult the more characters you unlock?

I think you just answered your own question.
Wait until you get the last character.
For me it was Palutena it was easy with Kirby but Pit kinda ruined it with how many Techs he did on the stage.

And another loss for me.
I guess 28 characters will be my peak unless I go to the World of Light.

Not really you can play some matches and wait for the Door to show up and challenge them in Games and More.

I know about that one.
And I actually managed to beat a challenger. And it only took me dropping the difficulty for classic mode down to 0.0 to do it. I’ll admit that I will use every underhanded tactics in the book in order to come out on top, but dammit does that hurt my pride.

I was worried for a while since my main was one of the characters you had to unlock, but I happened to run into him randomly, and won.
It is so good to have you back, Shulk.

I think in Incineroar is going to be in this game what Duck Hunt was for me in 4: that one fighter who somehow manages to thwart every attempt I make at unlocking him.
