So basically as long as I do every single fight on the Final Battle map I should be fine?

Okay, the Yoshi, Pichu, and Donkey Kong challenges. You can’t use the hammer on those, right? Well, those three pretty much require the hammer, since they’re so inhumanly difficult. I only beat the Bowser challenge thanks to Sudden Death, K. Rool’s neutral special being OP, and my opponent being Jigglypuff. I think they’re the only challenges my brother doesn’t have (besides online). EDIT: Yes, two of them have spirits. Sakurai’s punishment: Play my Cozy Glow battle.
 
Seriously, my brain hurts just thinking about how those challenges will go down…

Yeah, go figure that the most pain-in-the-ass challenges are the ones that you can’t use Golden Hammers on.

IIRC in Brawl it was all of the Boss Battles challenges and none of the others (and even then only in NTSC versions for some reason)

I do like how in Ultimate you actually start with 3 Golden Hammers and then you get an additional one for every 20 challenges you clear (whether you use a Golden Hammer on any or not).

They should’ve done a thing where if you use a Golden Hammer on a challenge and then clear that challenge normally, you get that Golden Hammer back and can then use it on a different one.

Don’t use a hammer.

Pichu- pick a light weight CPU and play a heavy weight or even pick hyrule temple or a large stage to increase your survive-ability
 
Yoshi- Pick your best character and a character with poor recovery maybe?

Yeah, I think the DK one is the 250% damage one. Which I ended up getting pretty easily.
 
What about the one where you have to fight against 3 level-9 CPUs and get 3 Meteor Smash KOs within 3 minutes?

My current highest intensity clear for Classic Mode is 8.0 with Mega Man.
 
Who’s the easiest character to clear it at 9.9 with?

Just go for broke I came closest with Alph.

Play as Ganondorf and fight characters with predictable recoveries. His downAir spike is pretty good and you should the most of the match waiting near the edge and trying to attack someone coming back with it.
 
Well he’s who I did it with anyway. Maybe Rob,Cloud,Samus or Mario could work

Just checked, and Donkey Kong is the picture for both the 250% damage and the 3 level-9’s KO’d with Meteor Smash. Thanks for the advice though.

Finally got Shulk in World of Light.

So the fact that Spring Man is an Assist Trophy and that there are no ARMS related music in SSBU means that ARMS wasn’t the splash hit Nintendo was hoping for?

Actually, Sakurai said recently that ARMS and Xenoblade 2 came “too late” to have more representation in Ultimate.
 
I can believe that with Xenoblade 2, but considering that ARMS was a Switch launch title I’m a bit more skeptical on that.
 
In the same interview he said that Decidueye was almost the Gen 7 Pokemon rep rather than Incineroar.

But don’t they have Spring Man as an assist? Granted, NPC assist trophy summons don’t require as much development, and time.  
Still, he’ll probably be in the next game with maybe Ribbon Girl. A character with a long reach would be interesting, though it would also leave them open, giving them some weakness too, so they won’t be OP.

Well then he didn’t say anything about Xenoblade Chronicles X other than the spirits that you can get in the game. It’s pretty much up in the air from here on out.

That game unfortunately kinda bombed, but that may be due to coming out late in the WiiU’s lifespand, and people wanted Shulk’s game instead.
 
There was also drama over the game’s NOA “censorship,” that probably lead to many not buying the game out of protest, as well.

No music in Smash Ultimate just Xenoblade 1 and 2. It would have been cool to have that atleast.
