Yeah, I wouldn’t mind that honestly, as owning the games on your system is nice then just plying ‘em online.  
Wait, there’s Turbo games on Switch now?

Nintendo oftentimes does that with cancelled games, like some of “Super Mario 64 2” was used in Super Mario Sunshine instead, like the concept of riding Yoshi.  
And features from the cancelled (and uncancelled) Star Fox 2 game were reused in future SF games, like All-Range-Mode, the rival Star Wolf team, the transforming Arwings, Andross’s form, and the basis of gameplay for the DS game.

a little off topic but I do remember hearing that a doctor who game was supposed to have a level where you go inside a dalek and that idea was eventually turned into an episode

Also, the canceled game “Super Mario 128” was later used as inspiration for the Pikmin series.

I think it was originally supposed to be a sequel to Super Mario 64.

Alot of people get confused by that, “Super Mario 64 2,” and “Super Mario 128” are two different things.  
128 was never meant to be a game, just a tech demo to show how powerful the GameCube was, but it’s rumored it could’ve inspired Pikmin, as well during it’s development.
 
The sphere planet like object the 128 Marios were on also kinda foreshadowed Mario Galaxy.

ONE LAST DIN-FORSAKEN KINSTONE. I can’t find anyone who has it… even the Gina well seems to have run dry.

Yeah, that can be a real pain in that game. Especially when you have the pieces but the people that wanted to trade suddenly decided not to.

Certain Kinstone fusions actually change around who you fuse them with, and there are specific NPCs that those fusions change around with. Although contrary to popular belief, none of them are permanently lost even after some of those NPCs are no longer around.

Wasn’t there one though that you can miss due to an error by the developers?
 
Not to mention, it’s possible to miss 2 unnecessary items. (The mirror shield, and I forgot the other.)

The really annoying thing is just how quickly the NPCs change their minds. I’m not referring to how certain trades are affected by story progression but that you could see that they want a certain piece that you don’t have and after having to grind for it, they suddenly don’t want to anymore.

Only in the European version, which can screw you out of both the fourth bottle and the Mirror Shield. The European version also never stocks the Bomb Bag upgrade at Stockwell’s shop for some bizarre reason.
 
And the Light Arrows are permanently missable if you don’t do a certain Kinstone fusion and save Gregal from the ghost before you “officially” reach that area much later in the game. But that’s actually intentional.

Yeah, not to mention the game not only doesn’t tell you that some Kinstone fusions rotate between very specific NPCs, but it doesn’t tell you which NPCs rotate their Kinstone fusions.

Definitely, a “Majora’s Mask” nod, (especially if you remember that version of Tingle’s orgin) they seem to enjoy referencing MM alot now.

Unfortunately, I missed both the Mirror shield & light arrows, and even though they aren’t necessary, it annoys me that they’re permanently missable with no warning… Especially, after I got all the figurines, and I don’t wanna delete all them, so it’s impossible for me to 100% the game now.
 
Interestingly, one of the good unique things about “Minish Cap” is, it’s the only Zelda game that has an unlockable music test, via a music player in that one house.

If you do things early enough, you can actually have the Light arrows ready by the time that you have to actually go to the sky area.

You shouldn’t have missed the Mirror Shield though if you did the Kinstone fusion with the farmer and then the various Mysterious Walls.
 
However, you can’t actually get the Mirror Shield until you’ve cleared the game at least once.

I remember when a group of fans tried to make their own version of ura zelda and then the person in charge cancelled it and tried deleted everything

I always assumed Ura Zelda wasn’t a new game, or sequel, I always assumed it was just that cancelled N64DD expansion pack of OoT, and basically became the basis for the “Master Quest,” and “Zelda Gaiden,” AKA Majora’s Mask.

from my understanding it was pretty much supposed to be DLC adding stuff back that had to be removed when they went from a disc to a cartridge. I think some people over exaggerate how much of an expansion it would have been
