Legend of Zelda Thread

Did you know that the 4th dungeon of Oracle of Seasons, Dancing Dragon Dungeon, has a side-scrolling section with the disappearing/reappearing blocks from the Mega Man games? Probably because it was co-developed by Capcom’s (now defunct) sister company Flagship.

Capcom’s logo is even shown when you start up the game. They did a good job though, as it still felt like a Nintendo game.

The Capcom Zeldas were great: Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Four Swords, Minish Cap. Not as groundbreaking as the Nintendo games, but solid entries that still found ways to change up the formula. Like the linkage between Ages and Seasons.

technically, most art starts that way, and in this case, it’s more about Disneyfying Zelda that original design.
 
heck, we all know Breath of the Wild is a stone’s throw from being Ghibli

I don’t know if this is true, but I hear the Zelda series was partly inspired by the old ‘80s fantasy movie “Legend.” (The one with Tim Curry playing the villain.)  
Meanwhile Super Mario & DK were inspired by Popeye the sailor man, and his rival Brutus/Bluto.
 
So it’s nothing unusual.

In Mario and DK’s case, that’s because they were originally going to be making a Popeye game with those characters, but then they lost the rights.
 
No clue about Legend, though.

Nintendo did finally make a Popeye game a year after DK though. I remember it was similar, and pretty good. (Played the NES version.)  
I hear oddly Namco has the license for it in some countries.

I had the Atari 5200 version. Licensed by Parker Brothers for some damn reason.

Before the NES some Nintendo games actually were remade for the Atari. Including the original DK & Mario Bros. ’83.

Okay only just got to play the game. Because an all-powerful Link with the best qualities, skills and equipment of all the links is something I think of and there’s a lot of clothing in the game I think “hmm look up the clothing maybe they have an improvement to the old Goron tunic.” and they do. I also think “maybe they have good snow gear two.” and maybe the Snowquill armor set works but it’s not at all how I was hoping it wold look. Also they don’t help in snow.

Yea but they are not part of the snow set, which I don’t get. Unless the guide I looked at was misinformed. Those look good. Those pants and something along the lines of something like a winter tunic purple, fur lined, and hooded is what I was hoping for.

Yet another thread I missed that I really should of found before…

This serous kinda makes me wish that you could recon reality. Like Korok being in Major’s mask or example.

Why?  
Termina is a parallel world, so things might be the game but also changed.  
In place of the Kokiri/Korok there is the Deku Scrubs, the Goron live in cold ares not a hot one, and the Zora live in the sea not fresh water.  
You can’t move them somewhere else as they are literally the forest species, so you can’t really have a change from Hyrule.  
The Goron however are rock people, so climate isn’t a factor as a mountain is still a rocky area, and the Zora are fish people and there are kinds of fish in both fresh and salt water.  
But if you move the forest people’s home out of the forest then they are not the forest people anymore, thus the Deku Scrubs.  
And don’t tell me how they are scattered about in WW and BotW, they are noted to travel out but still call the forest home, they go back.

Also the Kokiri/Korok are strictly from the one specific forest, so if that forest isn’t around, nether are they.

Instead of Deku shrubs is what I meant. Tamina is wired like you said. Okay probably no logic at all to It NM.
 
As for the Zora I thought it was, green freshwater, and blue could be both. Are the red ones Saltwater?

Oracle of Ages came up with the distinguishes between the two as Sea and River Zoras, so if they originate fromfreshwater they tend to be friendly.  
But both can live in ether place.

Something like them maybe but they can never be.

Ohh yaa I forgot, I didn’t like that they used Deku Shurbs in Majora’s mask. So that idea was probably a child of that and slight sleep deportation.
 
Speaking of Majora’s mask, I don’t know about you guys but Deku Link, Goron Link, and Zora Link where my first ideas when Hyrule Warriors was announced.
 
I also think the story of that game would have benefited from Twinrova being in the game. The lack of an OOT native villain made that portion of the game a bit clunky. Just my opionon.

So let me get this straight. An Ancient evil awakens. Link and four heroes must pilot giant robots to fight it.
