In a year where KyoAni burned down, I feel we should be celebrating that these productions take their time. By many accounts, MHA’s production schedule is actually healthy this season (but you never know, really).
 
As for the show itself, I hope it can maintain its quality after all that has changed. I’ve heard mostly positive things about the arc it’s going to cover, so it should be fun.

You should know arc adapted in new Hero Academia season was really controversial, many consider it to be drop in quality or dragging to long.

I could see some people thinking it dragged on. Though I binged it over a day so I can’t judge how it felt reading it as it released.
 
It’s true the next arc can be over-hyped though. I know I might be guilty of that a little.  
If I’m right about what the first episode of the season will cover, then it should give a pretty good indication of the tone for the arc.

Re:Stage ep 7. Prelims.
 
Mana’s drama was quite good, even with the long “talking is a free action” part. The awkward moments with Sayu and Minori gushing over Stella Maris while Mana was having her breakdown hurt good. I liked Sayu telling Mana that she had inspired her group when they were ready to give up, to counteract the feeling Mana had that she took away the dreams of her classmates from her previous school.
 
The actual performance was pretty good. Felt a bit detached from the drama right before, but it’s so goddamn refreshing just to see hand-drawn routines again. And I liked the decision to ride that wave right into the ED. Good show.
 
 

 
Aikatsu Friends ep 70. The whole season lead up to this, and it delivered.
 
Hibiki’s confession under the bridge might be the most romantic scene I’ve seen all year. And like Wakaba, I Believe acknowledging those who helped them along the way was great.

Well, I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect it to top USOS. But as long as it continues to have smart themes and decent character writing, it should be fine.
 
And we can’t discount the adaptation elevating the material.

But yeah, MHA’s production schedule is perfect the way it is. We’ve gotten new content each year, and Bones always delivers. I can wait longer for a show to be at its maximum quality.
 
At least it isnt 3 AND A HALF YEARS inbetween seasons. (Looks at Wit Studio)

 
Astra ep 8. This visual metaphor was rather unnecessary.
 
Boy, I really thought for a second that things would change after the last ep, but nope. Just more mystery boxes added onto the pile. At least these should get resolved in a few eps, which is the nice thing about modern anime.
 
 

 
Cannon Busters ep 4. Kind of a weird plot this ep, Philly just picks a fight with some drunk old man. Was fun at least. I liked the drunks trying to save their beer, and Kelby getting bullied. New villains seem cool. Show’s fun.

The Do You Love Your Mom anime is trash. It true. Everybody hate it.

Cannon Busters ep 5. Sam and Casey taking so much joy in such small things is actually pretty endearing.
 
9ine was a fun depiction of the archetype, a combination of samurai and drunken master. I fully expect him to return, though.
 
I’m surprised at how well this show has handled their main character basically being immortal. He’s incompetent and kind of an ass, he never gets what he wants, his ordeals are framed comedically. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it frames immortality as a burden, but at least he doesn’t feel overpowered.
 
 

 
Machikado Mazoku ep 7. The curse was actually lifted?!
 
Shamiko and Momo continue to have a wonderful dynamic, where they mutually embarrass and support each other. I was glad Shamiko’s mom was so accepting of her helping the rival clan. As much as I want this show to elevate itself, I’m glad that’s not a point of conflict here. I’d prefer the focus be on Momo and Shamiko’s shortcomings.
 
New girl has arrived, hopefully to shake things up.

Wow. Watching Dragon ball Super for the first time. There’s a villain named Black who looks just like Goku. So when Goku shows up they yell at the army “Hold your fire! This man isn’t Black!” That HAS to be intentional~
