did anybody else see the last SAO Abridged episode by Something Witty Entertainment? it was real good.

Finally finished Haganai Next. While it started strong, just as good (if not even better) than the first series, it got worse in the second half. Before I started watching it, I feared that Yozora might become softer and the romance stuff stronger. While not as bad as I feared, exactly that happened eventually. And not even that.
 
The thing is, Haganai should just be a pure comedy. When it tries to be serious, it doesn’t really work. And exactly that is the main issue with Haganai Next, particularly in the later episodes. And especially in the last episode, which was just terrible up to the awful ending.
 
Overall, while I had lots of fun at the beginning of Next, the first series was better.
 
The end cards are consistently great, though.  

 
In other news, there’s new stuff of that centaur anime.

Well they did the first Ark of the show.  
There are more arks considering the fact that we have SAO2 with Gun Gale, and Mother Rosario.

So, I watched the first two episodes (that are out now) of Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho. Which is about a furry, a witch and a shota (who’s also a witch) looking for a book. And another witch (who’s also male, “witch” doesn’t seem to be gender-locked there).
 

 
So far, it’s really not bad, although I think it’s main theme of persecution of witches could get annoying in the long run. On the other hand, it has quite some potential. Especially when other, antagonistic, witches actually appear. Which is just bound to happen. For one, the dude the main characters are looking for is most likely a villain.

To be fair, I think people tend to overexagerate what Kayaba’s true intentions were in the first place.
 
I don’t think he literally forgot what he was doing, moreso that he got so carried away with the whole “trapping everyone in a death-game” thing that he lost sight of his real desire to rule over a virtual world of his own design and have people partake in how great it would be to live in said world.
