One of the ways I can see it work is if Saitama isn’t an actual character. But is treated like a training dummy for you to try your moves against.  
“Hey Saitama! I wanted to practice some moves I’ve been working on. Could you just walk forwards for a bit and tell me what you think?”  
“Ok.”

I’m glad that we got to see more of them. (Particularly the female characters–they noticeably have far less development than any of the male ones.)
 
Honestly, while I’ve warmed up to Deku a bit, I’ve had just about enough of Bakugo’s nonsense.

Huh, season two of MHA switched to a different theme song halfway through? Wonder why.

Calling it right now: Grand Torino is doing a Yoda thing, where he’s leading Deku on to believe that he’s old and crazy but is actually still incredibly powerful.
 
Update: Yep, called it.

Huh. The new end credits sequence is… odd. Don’t really see a Legend of Zelda-type fantasy setting working for the characters, but eh, not my decision.

I think it works really well if you think about it enough.
 
But you all know I’m a massive glutton for such settings.

Yeah, the theme changes as they move onto the next major story arcs.  
And apparently the fantasy setting is a reference to one of the character popularity polls, where they drew the characters in fantasy setting outfits for funzies. And anime team decided to roll with it for the end credits here.

Familiar of Zero turned 15 years old this week.

Oshii Mamoru (Ghost in the Shell, etc.) is doing a Class-S yuri comedy. Spring 2020.

I really like it. Some of it is outdated, but I feel that is to be forgiven given the show is from 2006. I even think Louise is a great character. She’s actually my favorite character in the show. Is she violent? Yes. However, she is also very insecure, which gives her likability in my opinion. I mean, there’s one scene where she talks about how she’s the worst. It’s hard not to feel some sympathy towards someone like that.

The last episode of Senko-san actually made me cry tears of joy

Non Non Biyori ep 5. What the hell, NNB. I knew they wouldn’t actually take it in this direction, but the fact that they’d even imply it as a joke is just…
 
I can’t honestly say I find the bullying of Komari particularly endearing. I don’t think this sort of character flaw is that interesting because she can’t do anything about it. I hesitate to say she’s a one-note (or one-joke) character, but I hope there will be some development later where they learn to treat her with more dignity. At least Hotaru’s crush on her hasn’t been super creepy like that I thought it might.
 
The theme of the characters experiencing new things and how something innocuous to one might be mind-blowing to another has been a lot more interesting than just mocking Komari because she’s small, and I hope they do more of that.

Looking to try out Dr. Stone and Fire Force this season.

This one was a more fun explorations of a character’s flaws. Unlike Komari’s problem, Natsumi and Hotaru’s issues are of their own making, so it’s funnier to watch them have to deal the consequences. (To me, at least.)
 
 

 
Carole and Tuesday ep 12. Haha, between this and Aggretsuko, this has a been a “good” season for awful moms.
 
Good performances, as usual. I liked Angela spotting Katy in the crowd, and I like to think they made eye contact. I liked C&T and Angela rejecting the meaning everyone had attached to the competition, so I didn’t mind the cop-out ending.
 
Angela has become an interesting counterpoint to the show’s attitude towards the music industry. She is both completely prefabricated and completely genuine, an idol backed by dirty money and computer-generated songs who nonetheless takes honest pride in her drive and talent, and who could never have made it this far without those personal qualities. Considering how cynical this show is, I have no doubts as to which side she will end up, but it’ll be interesting to see how she gets there.

Fire Force’s trailer has me really excited for it. David Productions going from 3 seasons of Jojo to what’s been rumored to be 4 seasons of FF might lead to production issues down the road, but with a trailer with that strong, we should at least get a good start.
 
Dr. Stone’s premise sounds like it might be change from Shounen Jump’s typical focus on action but it’s designs don’t immediately endear me. Still, if it has an interesting enough story, I’m sure I’ll get used to the designs.

The only reason Louise from Familiar of Zero is so mean is because of what her sister taught her. Her sister is also mean, so Louise learned it from her sister.
