It’s not. The first anime promotional video made by McDonald’s was from 2016.

Speaking of what EPPony said, I find it funny how McDonald’s releases an anime promotional ad around the time Wendy’s starts getting art of their mascot as an anime girl. It’s obviously a coincidence, but I find that to be funny.
