Gilbert is a Blue Lions only character, so don’t worry about that.
Alois becomes available in chapter 11 (after Sothis merges with Byleth). And I know for sure there’s no limit on faculty/knights characters, since I have them all in my roster.

That said, I wanted to pick Brave Micaiah, but I managed to pull two of her so far (both -Atk :V). Now I’m thinking about Eliwood.

Also, I’m somewhat suprised Kronya and Solon died so early (assuming they’re dead for good). With Solon looking like a mastermind kind of guy and Kronya being advertised in Heroes and all.

So, with timeskip right upon me, two things I’d like to mention:
- the scene where Dimitri goes apeshit after learning Edelgard is Flame Emperor is amazing. From almost headshotting her with a thrown spear, through crushing a soldier’s skull with one hand without even looking at him, to absolutely hateful delivery of his voicelines.
- let’s just say you have a monumental task ahead of yourself to justify your actions, ||Edelgard. Let’s see:
- hiring bandits to kill Dimitri and Claude (and accidentally having us killed before Deus Ex Byleth)
- working with Those Who Slither In The Dark, including directly housing one of them, which makes you responsible for Jeralt’s death
- creating Demonic Beasts, which as we know, are made with people, including your fellow students, and using them as fodder
- barging into the Holy Tomb with armed soldiers and a merder-happy assassin while directly expressing that anyone resisting is to be killed (again, its your fellow students, kids, that we are talking about)
- starting a massive, bloody war waged throughout the continent for 5 years for the sake of “muh greater good”
That’s kinda a lot going against you here. In any other game, you would be a straight-up villain to be put down, because no amount of good intensions could justify those extremes.||

I know, but it still sucks, especially since a)merging will only get rid of the flaw, not give me a decent boon, and I’d like to get that sweet +4 Atk; b)I want to maybe pass Atk/Res Bond 4 to someone (like, say, her regular self), but with both being -Atk, I pretty much have to merge them to get a good use out of them (or use my free summon on her)

You learn why she hates the crest so much as well as why she is forced to work with Slither in the Dark. Remember, we saw her telling those who made her what she is now that she’s disgusted with what they did and demands them to not do it again in the future, and as you can tell, they have more power over her than she likes.

General Gwendal has fallen by a dancer. How embarrassing.
I also learn that Edelgard’s route is the shortest one (according to the Fandom wiki), with 18 chapters, while Rhea has 21 and Claude/Dimitri’s has 22. I wonder what that means for me, who’s on chapter 17.

I’m working on my Blue run right now, though it’s not far since I want to finish Red first. Apparently you can recruit Hilda if you go Blue but not Red. Interesting.
