Fire Emblem Stuff

Apparently FE4 is considered one of the easier FE games due to the game giving you powerful units left and right, making it so that you’ll have something to help you out.

…Seriously? So all that stuff I’ve heard about the Jugdral games being hard even for franchise standards is bullshit then?

I think it’s the lack of casual mode and the tedium of FE4 that’s causes players to hesitate, though the 0% growth run of FE5 does make it seem pretty bad, with them even commenting on how some things like its fog of war were bullshit.

And Fog of War was always rather bullshit even in the later games (pretty sure Thracia was the game that introduced that mechanic, though we’ve discussed that before).

It seems like FE5 is its birth, since it makes the map pitch black instead of the enemies hidden, making it worst. It’s a game that will torment you if you try to go in blind.

Robin. And it’s a Awakening spoiler, but that’s a Robin possessed by Grima in a timeline where Chrom fails.

 

 

Chapter 5 of FE4 is completed, now for Seliph’s story, who I think I’ll start another day.

I decided to play a bit of chapter 6, and my Seliph melts everything after one point of str. I stopped for now since I’m right before a choice between two units, and want to think about it and wait for a reply on the reddit that I post.

The final boss of chapter 6 doesn’t have a range weapon. I’ve been boss-abusing him for hours with no end in sight.

I always did see Titania as the Team Mom of the Greil Mercenaries.
 
That little repartee between Soren and Anna was excellent.

My team is ready for chapter 7, though I can already tell that this isn’t going to be a fun map.

Here’s chapter 7’s map, to give you an idea. My castle is on the top right, the green castle under it is an ally castle with three other units, which I have control over (thankfully), and two more allies are standing at the enemy castle left of the my starting castle. Also, I need Seliph, a foot unit, to go to every enemy castle after the boss has been slain to paint it blue, which goes on for every chapter. Let that sink in.  

I just passed the half-way point of Mang’s Radiant Dawn LP. This is painful to watch.
