One of my favorite things about the show is how unique it feels. The show has more depth than your average slice of life, what with talks of loneliness and outliving your companion. However, you can’t show the series to someone who doesn’t watch anime because of the scenes with Lucoa and that one Kanna scene. It’s like a gateway drug to ecchi in a way in that it’s not too explicit to be considered hentai but it’s also not too SFW to be considered viewable to all. It’s like an introductory course to ecchi mixed with some existentialism that comes with dying alone or the dread of seeing a loved one die.
