If the mouse is working properly and you can confirm the button switch is not wearing out then it is most likely a driver glitch. Common problem on Windows based systems.
 
It could also be the mouse itself. I had an older mouse once that always 2 clicked any time I hit the button a single click. For me the issue was the switch itself. I found a replacement on a junk mouse and swapped it. Double click went away when I did that.
 
Those are the 2 most likely causes I can think of for the issue.

According to a leak, Intel may be giving their Core processors an extra 2 cores each for their “Coffee Lake” lineup. That means quad-core i3s, six-core i5s and six-core twelve-thread i7s.

Remember that issue I had with YouTube comments not showing up for anyone?
 
No longer an issue. They show up now for some reason. Not that I’m complaining but I do want to know what the issue was.

My mother is using her dell laptop (i3; windows; chrome) for for her job and she’s having problems with compatibility like it not receiving all the calls as it should on top of it being slow. She’s used it for work before, I’m not finding anything new that would cause it slow the computer to a crawl now. I’m check performance, memory usage, and her chrome settings so now I’m cleaning her files with blechbit to see if it improves.

When playing 2D games (such as Sonic Mania) on a gaming laptop (equipped with an i7-6700HQ and a GTX 960M), is it common for the computer to use the iGPU part of the i7-6700HQ over the dedicated GPU?

Yes. Saves on power consumption. You can usually right click the executable and select “open with nvidia processor” however.

Typically part of a switching system on the machine. When not needed the discrete chip will power down and let the CPU graphics take over.

OK, if it’s mainly for 2D games, then it’s no big deal. I just though it was weird because I let my GTX 1060 run all games, 2D and 3D, on my desktop PC. Of course, my FX-8320E don’t have an iGPU to automatically switch to…which would make sense.

I was trying to remember the name of the feature that does that.
 
Nvidia Optimus.
 
Chances are your system has that and that is responsible for the seamless switching between Nvidia and Intel GPU.

I figured out how to get 2D games to run on my dGPU as opposed to my iGPU. I just went to “NVIDIA Control Panel,” went to “Manage 3D Settings,” and under “Preferred graphics processor” selected my “High Performance NVIDIA Processor.”
 
Colors are slightly better than Intel’s, and switching between tasks is snappier, too.

ok I am having trouble connecting to a site of mine from FileZilla. Its for a class I have to take in college. Its starting to piss me off.

My Edge browser now has two search bars on the new tab page. The second one just popped up suddenly and is overlapping my tabs. Anyone know a fix?

Is it the same or different? Maybe you accidentally installed a toolbar or something.

It’s different. Apparently it’s a Microsoft issue. So I’m hoping they fix it soon.

For a really petty issue, you know that little icon that shows up to the left on a tab? Sometimes Youtube’s doesn’t and sometimes it does. Anyone know what the issue there is?

Anyone have any ideas on how to make a laptop go faster? Mine keeps going slow sometimes.

Try disk defragment. Only open one program at a time. Run an anti virus scan. Use Ccleaner to get rid of useless files.

You always can disable some programs from running when you boot Windows to make your computer run faster.

I have some 3 emulators and 17 steam games.

They’re high tech, and you can do more with them than any other device, including consoles.
