There’s an episode where Beelzebub tricks Gosalyn into opening a spellbook and he tries to get Darkwing’s soul. It was banned after it initially aired on TV, and it’s not in the Disney+ episode list. Beelzebub also appears in another episode, Dead Duck, where Darkwing apparently dies and becomes a ghost, but since that turns out to be a dream I guess that made it okay to air since it isn’t banned.
The two banned episodes of Tailspin, Lost Horizons and Flying Dupes, are also missing. But they also were released on DVD on volumes 2 and 3 respectively.
It’s also missing part 2 of Gizmo-Ducks origin from Ducktales for some reason. Although Land of Tra-La-La is uncut, so there’s that.

The episode you’re talking about it’s called Hot Spells. Somehow it’s watchable on YouTube. It makes me wonder how it’s even possible, if according to what you said it was aired officially only once in the entire history and never was seen in TV or VHS or distribution sites ever again…. did somebody recorded it from that very first airing and somehow they manage to retrieve that extremely rare recording?

I don’t know if it aired just once, but the Disney Channel, Toon Disney/XD and all streaming sites have refused to show it. At the very least, only ABC aired it.
Which means that yeah, that’s probably why there’s existing copies online, with someone being lucky to record it. I know I’m lucky I still have my tapes that have the original version of the opening.

To think it’s part of the later Disney animated stuff, and still so good.
Then again, Batman the animated series was Real popular at the time, so more dark, serious stuff was a bit more prevalent. Like actually showing Dick Greyson’s parents falling to their death or Broadway losing his mind over a friend getting shot. Don’t remember if it was Detective Maza.
Now everything is overly comedic and goofy and any dramatic moment just can’t be taken seriously since no one in the show seems to. Like someone just died and then a pie is thrown.

Yep, “Deadly Force.” The episode where Elisa gets friggin’ shot.
It was written as one of those message episodes, where it’s meant to hammer a moral into the audience’s heads; in this case, the moral is gun safety. However, while I don’t usually like episodes like that, with this one it doesn’t treat it like a Captain Planet episode; things get intense, first of all, but also Elisa takes as much of the blame as Broadway does. And in the next episode, she is still in crutches after it, showing that actions have lasting consequences. “Deadly Force” is definitely one of my top ten episodes.

It especially didn’t work since Broadway was used as a war weapon in ancient times with swords, axes, bows and arrows, ballistas, molten oil and magic. Literally killed the enemies of the king he and the others served under, yet got huffy has a friggin’ gun. Yeah, I can’t buy the premise anymore. :/
It’d be more realistic if he went crazy looking for the crook that popped a cap in her ass.

In captain planet’s gun episode, one of the planeteers starts using her powers to drown a guy over her friend getting shot and may well have done it if she wasn’t talked down,

I think the key difference is him realizing how easy it is to accidentally kill a close friend like Elisa. Like, when he was fighting and killing others, that was always intentional–one does not typically unintentionally impale their friend with a sword… unless we’re in a little state called Florida. (C’mon, that’s probably happened there at least once.)

Okay, yeah. I had to remember how it happened. All I recall was him going on a rampage. I forgot he was the one that shot her. Still, it’d be like him in the old days screwing with a bow and arrow.
A more notable thing is it’s not pure anti-gun like most of those at the time. It’s more of “THIS IS NOT A TOY!” as Broadway’s roll is obvious the hyped up kid that doesn’t know better and this could be used to as a message to always keep the safety on, not having a magazine separate loading and expelling the loaded cartridge when not carrying it, trigger discipline and never leave it around.
Guns are no different then the weapons of his time, although, if I had to chose, I’d rather be shot then have scalding oil poured on me.
Also; now that I’m wiser. I realize the homage to spaghetti westerns like Fistful of Dollar, as the guy with the Poncho is obviously Clint Eastwood’s character.

Sighs, I’m having trouble finding a animation series with a cute style, that I think I watched on YouTube, where the main character is a robot with a screen for a face. Maybe one of you could help?
One who identified as and dresses as a female, despite her programming supposedly not allowing such. With her wishing to express her individuality, even asking questions and conversing with her fellow robots despite them discouraging her from such and them even getting in trouble with the boss for such. Where she chooses to wear a dress and a wig, and works in a factory.
Yet with the robots being mistreated by the human workers, and the main character even being haressed by one of them, with another robot shooting the guy or something because of such.
I think there might have been like three episodes last I watched it, but I can’t seem to remember what it was called or where I found it for certain.

That’s what I find so interesting about the episode. It’s not only Broadway who’s at fault for playing with guns; Elisa also admits some of the blame for leaving her gun out in the open for him to play with.

Yeah, That’s usually one way gun accidents happen. firearms left about where anyone could grab it.
no way would they an episode like that again. Detective Maza would demand she not carry a gun anymore because she “Realized the dangers of it” after she was shot, along with a lecture on the damages a gun will do to the human body in the most grotesque way possible. To quote a Youtuber with the type of response one should have to that absurdity:
Yeah, it’s a bullet guy. What do you think comes out of there, kisses?!

Except all of those weapons aren’t basically “point, shoot, dead”… Well, except maybe the bow and arrow, but those take a lot more training and work than a gun. Reason why guns were adopted by armies, even when they were a lot more finicky and prone to malfunction if not used just right. Ease of use.
It takes months, if not years, of training to use swords, spears, bows and arrows, etc. correctly. A gun on the other hand took maybe a week before you could throw them onto a battlefield to shoot the enemy. They also had superior range and you didn’t need to do mental calculations to ensure you hit your target like the bow and arrow (there’s a reason it’s use is called “archery”). And you can’t just pick up a bow and arrow, point it at something, accidentally touch the trigger, and kill/mortally wound someone.
Broadway’s never seen a device that can so quickly and accidentally cause so much damage.
Unrelated, but I like how after that episode Elisa could be seen locking her service pistol in a gun safe when at home.

Not true.
Bullets still fly through the air and susceptible to gravity like everything else and wind velocity, direction, target distance and such.
