i think sometimes cartman treated to good. sure they sometimes gets a raw deal but alot of the time he gets way with it.

In fairness, he does get badmouthed by the other characters alot, and he’s not supposed to be a likeable character.

You’d be surprised, some do act like Family Guy is an intelligent show, but sometimes it spreads misinformation too.  
Like that “Walt Disney is anti-Semitic” rumor, which according to people who knew him, or worked with him, (including one whom didn’t get along with Walt) isn’t true, and he actually did hire Jewish people to work for him, and made anti-nazi cartoons, before America even joined WW2.  
Walt’s no saint, but it’s not fair to spread that about him.
 
And some actually do take stuff like it’s Texas episode seriously, and people think that’s what we’re really like oddly. Some even use quotes from the show to bash christians, and such.  
It was also kinda in bad taste they took a shot at Laura Bush (the first lady at the time) remarking she “killed a guy,” like we should hate her for that, but leave out it was a car accident, and Laura felt so horrible about it, it gave her PTSD-like emotional issues, and made her lose her faith for years. So the show goes overboard sometimes, as well.
 
Overall, some do take some cartoon sitcoms too seriously, whether, or not they’re just joking around.

I think there are a few times he gets what’s coming to him though, but yeah he gets away with crap too much sometimes.  
I don’t really like characters like that honestly.
 
Alot of “adult” cartoons are too vulgar, or mean-spirited honestly, with little intelligence.

even in that episode were he got caught kidnapping butters he still got what he wanted.

South Park literally had a scene where they were mocking Bart for not being as much as a “Scumbag” as Cartman
 
That’s a weird level of fucking self jerking, especially one coming from the Show who has less Viewers than the WWE nowadays

to be fair WWE has more guys getting slammed through tables and that’s a good watch.

Bart may be not as cool & edgy anymore as he was in the early ‘90s (back in the early 1990s, some schools banned Simpsons merch’, and such) but at least he’s likeable, and has his sympathetic moments.
 
Still, I remember kids thinking it was awesome when Bart said “Who the hell are you?” in the classic Simpsons Konami arcade game.  
(When is Arcade1UP going to remake that one?)

Like HUMANCENTiPAD, which ends with Cartman getting his dreams squashed and struck by lightning.

It’s weird how a lot of people who love SP hate Rick and Morty for being “Psuedo intellectual” and “Cynical” when South Park is a lot worse in that regard, Rick’s Cynicism being made fun of is the whole point of that show , Rick’s attitude is seen as self destructive while Cartman’s attitude often is portrayed as “Badass jerk who says it like how it is”

In fairness, I think Cartman is usually supposed to be an unsympathetic & jerkass character too. Especially, considering even his “friends” admitted they don’t really like him.

I don’t think people like Al Gore should be free from parody, or criticism, but in fairness, they made a more recent episode basically apologizing to him, and for the whole “man bear pig” thing.
 
While I think it’s ok to make fun of famous people, sometimes Family Guy & South Park do go overboard when making fun of people admittedly, or come off rather nasty then funny sometimes doing it.  
Like when South Park portrayed Phil Collins badly, after his song for Disney’s Tarzan beat the South Park movie’s song for an Academy award for best song, which seems like sour grapes, rather then a harmless parody.

The more I think about it, the more I think that the elves and dragons in The Dragon Prince come off like unreasonable assholes.

It was apparent to me from the beginning intro.
 
The elves and humans coming to blows in most other stories would include some sort of big crime or ongoing atrocity happening beforehand, but the intro curiously leaves such a thing out.
 
It’s like it just goes from humans doing dark magic straight to conflict. Like the elves fear humans having such an edge over them too much to live with.

This is part of what I’m hoping to find out more about in Book Three.
 
I get the sense that it’s not a simple “rebels vs. evil empire” sort of thing. There’s good, bad, and neutral on all sides. It’s a cycle of retaliation, with different factions endlessly getting revenge for things that the other did to get revenge on them for something they did. However, so far it does feel like they’re however unintentionally depicting the humans in a better light than the Xadians, so I hope they rectify that in Book Three.

But with Rick and Morty it’s much more consistent , and the shows feels far less apologetic about Rick than South Park can be about Cartman

Long term too. The entire 3rd season premier was the panicking after they came off their high and realizing ‘oh crap, we made Rick lose at something!’

Followed by the rest of the season showing him alienating from the family. By season’s end, he’s down to being the laughingstock- below Jerry.
