The fandom was part of it, but then people started to become more critical of the show and take it less seriously due to the fanbase acting like it was the greatest cartoon of all time.

So, just got out of Toy Story 4.
 
I liked it, mostly.

The TTG movie was pretty good from what I heard at least, though as I understand it that had different writers from the show anyway.

I’ve also been hearing that TTG has had a pretty big decline in ratings the past couple seasons despite how often they air it.

Not really, but then I question if two or three were really needed. It wasn’t like any of the movies didn’t finish on a fairly decisive note, and at least some of the backlash seemed to be a bizarre obsession with the number three.
 
It was a good movie which lived up to the others and explored the same themes, while expanding into pretty new territory and concepts. It had some great character exploration for Woody, Bo Peep was great, and it had one of the best villains I’ve seen in recent memory (for a given definition of villain, but the fact that they kept her so threatening and creepy while still being reasonable and sympathetic was a feat of writing and direction in itself).

That could be just from the general decline of cartoon tv ratings, all three networks are affected.

It definitely deconstructed the old themes without completely destroying them, and I like that.

I mean you do know most of the creative teams are the same between the shows right? it’s why they are so comfortable taking swings at the original,

Watching episode 1 of Final Space.
 
This show is gonna ruin me emotionally, isn’t it?

I’m at a quandary with trolls 2:World Tour.
 
I didn’t watch the first one because it looked like butts and sounded like ass. But the trailer for the second one looks genuinely interesting.

I have to say, Final Space’s animation is gorgeous.

Honestly, I’m kind of interested that they seem to be going for a multiverse-type story with this, though not to the same level as Spider-Verse.

Disney Channel is airing new episodes of Amphibia every day for 5 weeks.
 
I guess they need something to air while Ducktales is on hiatus.

dame, hope they don’t run dry on episodes.

Tom Kenny said that when he and the cast where recording the SpongeBob episode “Sailor Mouth”, they where told to pretend swear when doing the script, but they found it hard and Tom Kenny asked Nick if the could just swear normally and have the words be bleeped out.
 
He said that Nick has a copy of the uncensored version of Sailor Mouth with the swearing kept in, but they will never let it see the light of day.
 
NGL hearing Tom Kenny swearing in his SpongeBob voice would be hilarious X)

I think that the Emoji Movie is one of the few cinema sins videos that pretty much everyone agrees that the movie deserves to be ripped to pieces, even the detractors and critics of the channel.

There aren’t many serialized adult cartoons. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Frisky Dingo.
