i didn’t relise it till now but those things around sword ladies wrists are vines. so i think that scary plant lady was all of those trees.  

So I recently received the final set of Ducktales on DVD.
 
Watching episodes from it, it’s funny how a lot of the things I hate on the 2017 show are apparent in the old series, such as the nephews often bailing Scrooge out of trouble or several of the episodes taking place in Duckburg, especially after Gizmoduck was introduced. But the old series didn’t feel annoying about it, compared to the new show.
 
Basically, it’s a cross-series case of what TV tropes calls “Franchise Original Sin.”

They did make The Real Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff/Cats & Co., The Littles, some of the earlier Care Bears, and other beloved ‘80s/‘90s shows, so honestly I kinda like DiC’s cartoons.
 
Bashing DiC is kinda pointless anyways, seeing as they were bought off by Cookie Jar, and DHX. In fact, some of the staff from DiC work on DHX’s shows now, including MLP:FiM. (In fact, Rarity is voiced by Wendy Koopa.)
 
And frankly, I think AoStH actually had uglier bit character designs then Sonic SatA.M., and such did. I did like some characters despite the ugliness though.

I have a soft spot for those shows too, so no biggie.
 
Frankly, I’d rather watch the cornball classic “Super Mario Super Show,” over the new Megaman CGI show, and such.

Finally ready for RWBY to continue in a few weeks.
 
All those folks who say the fight animation went downhill?

AoStH was just an acid trip of a Cartoon.
 
At least SatAM had structure and an overarching plot.
 
The Super Mario 3 cartoon is where that series peeked. World was goofy acting like they time traveled.

I liked the fighting animation in the Adam short they did. I was kinda worried for some time even.

TBH, while flasy i always found the combat in what i watched of the show to be very unimpressive because of the whole aura thing making it so it was all flash no substance, kinda like allot of DBZ fights where hits don’t mean anything 99% of the time then suddenly they do, it makes the fights uninteresting compared to similarly flashy ones in say Star Wars,

The auras keeps every fight from ending in like two minutes.

good choreography would do the same thing without making every hit seem like it’s utterly random if it will do anything or not, as it stand they are pretty but they make any attempt at drama laughable

SatAM pisses me off with the wigs, look at Rouge who’s “bald” by the shows standards , you don’t need to give an anthro character a wig to make her feminine and attractive

SatAM and the games are made by completely different people, so that inconsistency I can get.  
Though the wig thing seems to be more of a general cartoon thing than a SatAM problem specifically.

Arthur has gone downhill the past few seasons. There’s an episode where Arthur tells Ladonna and Buster that the other has been talking bad about them behind their backs so they won’t be friends anymore, and an episode where Thora scares the shit out of DW with spiders.

There’s an episode where Arthur has to stay at Buster’s house because his room is leaking, and Arthur sprays too much air freshener and makes Buster cough, despite Arthur KNOWING BUSTER HAS ASTHMA.
