To celebrate this thread reaching it’s second page here’s a funny animated parody.
 
As for the shot at “Amiibo Festival,” the game actually comes with 2 Amiibo, and several Amiibo cards, people often forget when bashing the game for using Amiibo. (So unless you need 3 or 4 players you don’t really need to buy Amiibo for it.)  
The game isn’t “great,” but it’s actually not as bad as some say.  
My local Walmart is selling it for $10 now with the Amiibo included. (And yes, I got it.)
 
And yes, don’t Google Isabelle in the work place…

I’ve never summoned Mr. Resetti as of 2013.

Really? I actually find him quite amusing, I even have his Amiibo.
 
I hear they dialed back his role in “New Leaf” ‘cause he actually scared some kids.
 
Another funny thing is, his trophy in SSB Melee came out before AC was released in America, and the description confused gamers making them think if they reset Melee, he’d appear, but he didn’t. Didn’t help the description said “this game,” not specifying which one, as AC wasn’t localized yet, and it just said he was from “Future release.”

It’s kind of interesting how the first Animal crossing game for the GameCube was more or less a remake.

It’s true, technically, there was a Japan-only N64 AC game, but we didn’t miss out on much, as the GameCube game is basically a more enhanced version, with more items, new holidays/events, new NES games, (AC made me fall in love with “Balloon Fight,” “Punch-Out,” and other retro games) and E-Reader card functionality. Still, they’re basically the same game, so it’s probably still ok to still call the GameCube game the “original/first” AC, as it basically kinda is.
 
Interestingly, the Japanese version of the GameCube version didn’t have E-Reader card support, but they made a new version with it afterwards. Also, the playable NES furniture games Ice Climber, Punch-Out, and Mario Bros. Arcade could only be obtained from special E-Reader cards that are now quite collectable on Ebay. (Though, Punch-Out could also be obtained from the European official website’s password generator.)

Soooooo… How ‘bout that new “Animal Crossing New Horizons” game?
 
I think it looks cool, the tropical island setting seems to allow you to do more then even “New Leaf’s” mayor gimmick did.

Why do you say that? And frankly, fans exaggerate that, as he’s actually always been very nice compared to IRL dept collectors.

I’m curious what Isabelle will do in the game. Probably just give advice, or something like in “Pocket Camp.”
 
I still think it was cringy when Chadtronic burned an Isabelle Amiibo. (To vent is hatred of AC: Amiibo Festival, which is basically the most hated AC game. That said, I didn’t think the game was that bad. Not great, but I think people exaggerate how “bad” it was.)

When I get the game, I plan to name my island a combination of my sister (whose birthday is in March) and my grandmother (who may pass on pretty soon).

I was surprised to see that AC Amiibo are still available in some stores, (granted they unfortunately weren’t as popular as the SSB ones, so they obviously didn’t sell as well) I got Kicks from one recently.
 
I kinda hope “New Horizons” will have Amiibo support, but of course, not lock any content behind required Amiibo.  
(Though, I suppose a few exclusive unrequired furniture items wouldn’t be bad, and you can trade them with those that don’t have Amiibo, and such.)
