How to write (Smut vs Sensual) [NSFW]

I’ve been off and on, stop snickering, writing this story for about 8 months to a year right now. It started after I decided to branch out into the NSFW area of literature. What I wanted to do was differentiate the story from other clop fics by having it cater more towards the sensual side while, at the same time, having the down to the dirt sex scenes.
 
I would appreciate tips, * shakes head *, or words of wisdom to help me in this pursuit. Also, I could use some help with the matter of how to write a couple of things.
 
The story I’m writing is your typical human transported to Anthro Equestria, but throwing in a different particular of the “how” and “why” he gets transported there.
 
The first thing is height differential. How would you write for an individual that’s like 5’6” and the other is like 7’5”?
 
The protagonist, male, feels ostracized because of his height. This is why he’s kinda nervous around the females who are 7’5” to 8’ tall while Luna is 8’5” and Celestia is 9’5”. I didn’t want to go total death by Snu-Snu here, but I didn’t want to add in that element of feeling overpowered. Stallions are just 5 to 6” taller than the mares with Cadence being 8’ tall and Shining Armor around 8’ 2”, same height as Big Macintosh.

That honestly sounds very interesting to me, the size difference in particular is right up my alley.
 
Anyways, sensuality vs. smut. I am by no means an expert however I will say that sensuality very much requires a certain emotional connection between the characters. The subtle glances, seduction, disrobing, the feel of powerful muscle beneath a satin coat, quivering beneath a gentle touch while knowing that the one you’re with is strong and cares for you, giving into that sweet strength and so on.
 
Ideally you want to be able to give the impression of intimacy without totally giving the game up, this is exactly the place to be sparing on big details and when you must speak in generalities and metaphor.
 
Example: “I sank into her, melting utterly in her embrace. The mare’s strength leavened with softness as she carried me to the bed and laid me down. Our lips met, the heat of our breath mingling as she fumbled to open my shirt…” and so on.
 
What I recommend is sliding from sensual into smut, however that can still be classed up a bit, made tender and loving.
 
Describing the scent, smell, sounds, taste and feel of the characters instead of focusing 100% on penis going into vagina.
 
Example: “Her cries were the most beautiful music I’d ever heard, her taste a fragrant, bitter tang as my tongue drove her over the edge. She trembled and writhed, one strong hand gripping my head and pulling me closer to her parted, soaking marehood.”
 
As for the size difference, well that makes for an exciting dance in its own right. I’d write him as being nervous around the much taller and stronger ponies and as he gets closer to the romantic interest(s) have those feeling change to ones of comfort and safety as he learns that they’d never want to hurt him.
