I figured that if we get a Hired Gun model in SFM the most appropriate size to use her at would be 0.1337, and Puppysmiles would be 0.064 (Default is 0.1, for reference)
 
Now, if only we had those models…
 
EDIT: If we use >>543485 (NSFW) as a reference, the appropriate scale for a HL2 door would vary from 0.05 to 0.064. 0.05 would be just barely big enough for an average pony, Silver (Hired Gun) would actually have slight trouble fitting through. 0.64 is just barely too short for her to fit through without hitting her head. 0.04 (a small maintenance passage or the CMC Clubhouse) would be a struggle at best. 0.03 (locker door or one of those toy houses) would be too small.
 
Vent size of 0.04 would just barely accommodate Puppysmiles, even a regular CMC-sized foal wouldn’t fit. Not sure how big the ventilation passageways actually are by comparison, that’s where I’m up to, and it doesn’t say.
 
EDIT2: Here it is in SFM. Note that because of the lack of proper models I used Minty for Hired Gun and Opal Bloom for Puppysmiles.

That first pic though, mmmm. Anyways, so you’re saying that if we go by what the engine is, Puppysmiles has to be small, like really small?

I don’t know how small she’d have to be TBH. We could always just use a standard 5YO base. It’s the only non-unique body type that’s missing, besides the teenager body type, but we’re getting closer to that one)
 
I used >>452068 as the reference for Puppy’s height relative to a standard foal. Someone mentioned Hired Gun being a head taller than normal mares. The differences really add up, it appears.
 
Unfortunately the closest references for the canon 5YO size I can find are >>582389 and >>582409. This doesn’t seem too far off the size I gave Opal Bloom there to test Puppysmiles, given that the SFM mare and filly models aren’t actually that different in height. I also figured based on dialogue early in Pink Eyes that Puppy might be taller than average. Not a huge difference, but enough that it’s noticeable if compared side by side and she can easily be mistaken for being a little older than she actually is. The Watsonian explanation is that someone refers to her as “retarded” at one point early on (though she’s not exactly bright and is from a much more innocent time, in the Wasteland you learn to shoot before you learn to read) and the Doylist explanation is the fic predates One Bad Apple while the canon 5YO puppet first appears in For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils.
 
Currently working on a trace picture (Tracing something I made in SFM and replacing the characters) that may address things further or add to the confusion, I dunno.

The 5YO are smol. Yeah the size you gave her seems exact in terms of relative size.
 
Though the thing to note is that One Bad Apple happened after Pink Eyes.
 
My guess that mimezinga had a thought of Puppysmiles being a filly the size of the CMC. Nothing more, nothing less. However, the 5YO model does bring up (and possibly the late teens as depicted by Plaid Stripes >>1159516 but it might be a single model like Fluttershy when she was younger.), a question of size as we are having now regarding a side-story that is roughly 6 years old.

I guess 0.064 is too small, I might try 0.069 or 0.072.
 
I admit it sucks, but it’s the most detailed thing I’ve drawn as opposed to rendering in Gmod or SFM that isn’t some kind of map.

Yeah the trace isn’t stellar but I suppose you could technically see Puppysmiles in that form, except it’s drawn.

Filly Fluttershy, AJ and Derpy in WTAL, Air Way, Plaid Stripes, and Crystal Hoof all share the same body. Mimezinga probably thought that was the case because the 5YO puppet was made more-or-less for the sake of a single flashback sequence in For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils, we’ve seen it in, what, two episodes since then?

Mimezinga only could work with CMC filly size at the time which was 2011. For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils aired in 2014.

It’s a bit tricky, especially the body and the proportions. Believe me, it takes a bit of time. In fact, the only reason I took up drawing again was a friend I met a few months ago and here I am, drawing frequently (in the background mind you.).

What’s the problem with Paint.net (never used it, I use GIMP for my traditional to digital art.)?

Paint.net is basically paint but better and with stuff like layers and transparency. I haven’t used GIMP but from what I’ve heard they seem to be kind of similar.
 
I wonder who’s bigger, Hired Gun or Icepick?

Well, I found one Fallout Equestria Transient, but it was the wrong one. What, are there, like three of them? Will probably have to look through Heroes later.

I’ve always considered Littlepip to be about 19, like the lone wanderer from fallout 3.
 
And Velvet Remedy is not 22, which is a mistake I made in my story. I thought she was much younger than Calamity and in her twenties, but apparently it’s mentioned that she’s a decade older than Littlepip, and at one point Calamity makes fun of her age. That would put in her thirties, and suggests Calamity is younger than her.
 
Homage is also eleven years younger than Velvet, suggesting she’s the same age as Littlepip. (Sure doesn’t show it)
 
I made Xenith as being in her mid thirties, having Xephyr very young. This was mostly just for shock value in my story, where the seventeen years older, blind, almost crippled and seriously weathered Xenith is revealed to be just fifty three years old (and looks twice the age of the seventy two year old Fluttershy)

That was just as far as I know. The only one I know has a canon age is Puppysmiles. I actually considered 19 as an alternate age for Littlepip.
