Tumblr NSFW Upload thread

I made a google spreadsheet to help with organizing the effort

So when archiving, I should be looking for tumblr accounts that are not on the list?
 
And if I do find one that isn’t on the list, archive it and upload it (using the script and the tumblr user’s tag) anonymously to Derpibooru?

The first thing to do would be to download the pictures, then there’ll be time to upload to derpi
 
When uploading, leave a name if you can, use anonymous uploading if you must.

So these are all the accounts that have images linked to DB, but not actually saved within the servers?
 
If so, there is a lot of work to be done.

No, just that they are clop tumblrs that should be uploaded to derpibooru.
 
Anything that’s already in derpibooru will not be affected.

It is not only porn blogs that will be hit by this. Tumblrs system has been flagging up all things furry and pony regardless of the actual content as explicit.
 
We can be pretty sure that Tumblr will leave the removal of things to their clearly broken automated system.
 
Save as much pony as you can. Not just the NSFW stuff.
 
Treat this as if Tumblr is shutting down.

Possibly my final question, what do the dates on the spreadsheet supposed to represent?
 
Also, these clop tumblrs, many upload both nsfw and sfw; only archive and upload nsfw content?

The dates were copied from a previous post, and just means the date at which they were added to that post.
 
You can ignore them since they aren’t relevant for archiving purposes, except as some kind of “chapter title”.
 
It’s best to download everything, which is easy if you use TumblThree. If you can’t use that, then just save whatever pony pictures you want, nsfw or sfw, since it seems tumblr is being dumb and flagging even sfw posts.

It seems like that python scrypt doesn’t neeed an accaunt. I didn’t entered my accaunt information anywhere yet it works.

I’ll try to help, I also have an old personal scrape of 20%cooler that I’ve been slowly checking to see if each image is uploaded

Can I request people uploading Tumblr posts they save during the exodus with “tumblr exodus 2018” or something, so we can distenguish what was here before and what was uploaded after?

For completeness, I’d say just grab everything. We can’t trust Tumblr’s algorithm to not create false positives.

Can you sort the blogs alphabetically by name? It’s really hard to find anything.Since I couldn’t find them, and have no way to esit the sheet on my phone, here are some blogs I know about:

Will look at starting to archive as soon as I can.

also I added them to the “not otherwise listed” sheet.

Fortunately a large number of artists have their work catalogued here already, whether by their own means or by the archiving of others. By working together, hopefully the community can rescue as much as possible.
 
I will do what I can once I’m home this weekend.

Started tumblr_backup script on my file share and fed it the whole tumblr blog list. It’s such a major PITA to make it run properly on FreeBSD >.< Have around 4tb free now. Not sure how much I’ll be able to dump but fingers crossed that it will be more or less enough.

Should be enough for 4000 tumblrs, as long as there aren’t terrible outliers…
