Tumblr NSFW Upload thread

I can try to help out as time allows. I’ll check that scraping program later.
 
EDIT: Will try to double check selbbap’s blog first. Confirmed.

Is there a way to check if a blog is already fully uploaded here other than manually checking each page?  
( This needs to be saved for instance, an early piece of fandom history )

I know that there are other archiving efforts going on; for mass archival I cannot assist outside of derpi. There’s also mass uploader for derpi I can point you towards atm.

If you’re uploading from the tumblr itself, this extension is a one-click uploader that also checks for duplicates before submitting.

Please note that some artists probably don’t know that they can export their blog. It’s incredibly slow because probably lots of people are trying to backup their blogs now, but the good thing about these backups is that they have the original images, not the resized 1280px-wide versions. Sadly you can’t “export” anyone else’s blog like this, only the owner can do it, but if you’re already going to beg to an artist, maybe tell them about this, maybe they’d like to download a copy of their blog before it gets purged, and maybe they’ll be able to share that copy eventually.

Alright, so aperantly given program seems to have a vay to import blog names via text file, so i’ll try to archive 31dec 2015 and tell you how it went

Possibly. If you can try it out and it works, feel free to add it to the first post. Note that a CLI may not be the most user friendly for a lot of people.

Added, it creates a folder containing a whole setup to recreate the entire blog with html files and the assets used.
 
Also, sadly, the blog I used it on (mars-venusgore) is expressly DNP here, so it will remain a local archive; I would recommend some others do the same for less likelihood images are lost in the event marsminer has no plans to migrate them.

If the DNP is of the nature “I only want this on my tumblr”, there is the obvious matter that the DNP reasoning is invalid; in general, don’t worry too much, we’ll just delete DNP stuff if we really have to, as it’s quite important the art is saved somewhere.  
I was using pbooru earlier for some stuff and uploading there is kind of a hassle (file upload only, no reverse search, and no description field); try and find somewhere better if you can.

I’ll help however I can, Though I have little space on my Flash drives and I’m using a public computer.  
If need be, I could try uploading copies of the art to here or E6 (Though they have a 10 images upload per day limit)

While I’m not much of a NSFW uploader, I’ll definitely upload as much tumblr stuff as I can. I’m a sucker for archival and I hate when content is lost.

All of Amber pendants’ stuff is here, it seems.

I have highly limited bandwidth and probably only 1tb of free storage at the moment, but I DO have a lot of free time and a serious OCD level drive to hoard and save things, so I’ll give it a look as soon as I can. The whole situation frustrates me greatly.

Chigusa has several accounts and exporting their stuff right now, I think, judging from their posts.  
Edit: since i don’t have a personal computer, I put a blog post up on FIM (May not do much, but hey, can’t hurt.)  
And I’m also manually sending messages to all of the artists on the list (Ditto)

If an artist has left the fandom but still occasionally does MLP sketches, should we ask their permission to upload their stuff here?
