X-ray edit should NOT imply edit

Tag the genders
That, or a new tag of “x-ray version” needs to be made, given the x-ray and alternate version implications, and then applied to the vast majority of the images with x-ray edit as one of their tags. The tag “x-ray edit” is largely being applied to images made by the artist themselves, and the last image which you could legitimately say is an edit that made it look like an “x-ray” rather than an alternate version made by the artist, with the tag “x-ray edit,” was posted in 2016. If you search x-ray edit, edit, the entire first page is filled with images that were made by the original artist, and same with the second page. 82 images with the x-ray edit tag have had the edit tag removed. With how every use of it in the last 3 years is not as an actual edit but for an image’s alternate version, it should no longer imply the tag edit.

Tag the genders
Same with the tag Cum edit (NSFW), come to think of it. A lot of the images under that tag are also not edits, but rather, alternate versions made by the artist, though there are still several actual edits with that tag.

Yeah, that’s mostly why I also said, “That, or a new tag of “x-ray version” needs to be made, given the x-ray and alternate version implications”. Since “x-ray edit” already exists, and a lot of people don’t know that the edit tag is only for edits made by people aside from the artist (lots of people upload their images with the tag “edit” when it’s actually an alternate version), and when people are putting in an x-ray version or a cum version, they see the tag “x-ray edit” in the tag editor, so they put in the tag. It’s pretty much rampantly misused, to the point where the tag has long since stopped being used for its original purpose, and to fix that either the tag’s “purpose” needs to change (in the form of the implication being removed) or a new, different tag needs to be introduced and tagged on enough images for people to notice when they’re tagging their image.
