Why don't earth pony, pegasus, unicorn, and alicorn imply pony?

May be tagged on images with “Bipedal” tag.

As it stands now, “pony” is both a bodyplan (on the same vein as “anthro” ad “semi-anthro”) tag and a species tag - we’ve had plans to separate those functions and leave “pony” as a species tag only but we never came to an agreement about what to use to replace “pony” as a bodyplan tag.
