Merge "first person view" and "pov"?

first person view implies “pov” and “offscreen character”
pov implies “offscreen character” and has aliased into it: “first person” and “point of view”…

I can’t tell why they’re separate. Should they be merged?

No. There different type of PoV such first person and third person

I don’t understand how “pov” would apply to third-person, or even be notable - almost every picture is in third-person. Can you explain what you’re thinking about, or show an example?

Also, first person is already aliased to pov so there’s precedent for not separating the identification of a first-person perspective from “pov”.

First person is through the view of one of the character. Third is through the view from none of the characters.

Will also add this alias suggestion
1st person view -> first person view

I’m actually not all that sure why they’re separated either. There really isn’t any distinction.

There is no “third person view” tag because that’d be more useless than the my little pony tag. That’s any image that first person view isn’t. It functionally has no use whatsoever.
