What should the tag go home you’re drunk be used for?
If that phrase is in the image, obviously.
I’d also say it applies if someone is committing an obvious gaffe or “fail”, or especially unwise behavior or poor decisions, due to being drunk. (Unfortunately, this is a subjective determination.)
IMO, it wouldn’t apply to pictures where someone’s drunk, unsteady or even passed out, if nothing else of note is going on.

AFAIK it’s supposed to be for drunken shenanigans, goofs, and indignities. That is to say, whenever a character’s drunkenness is made visible beyond a flush and a few emanata: motor function (like stumbling or faltering, odd expressions), consciousness (drooping or being blacked out), apparent altered cognition (behaviour outside of social norms, exaggerated reactions and such)…

The tag mlem is specifically for images with the onomatopoeia (like >>2730963), right? Because I’m seeing it used on a lot of images like >>2726831, and if that’s correct, it should probably be aliased to tongue out.

Not quite. As onomatopoeia, they always apply, but in theory, there’s a difference between mlem and blep. Blep is sticking the tongue out, while mlem is licking/pulling it back in. Both imply tongue out. This image explains it pretty well.

In practice, though, there’s a lot of mistagging and overlap.

I wonder how still images would even begin to differentiate between the phases of a tongue outing.
And in any case, aside from the onomatopoeia, the distinction is too fine grain to ever matter. We should just have “blep (onomatopoeia)” and “mlem (onomatopoeia)” and “tongue out”.

I presume the reason I can’t seem to tag artist:urmomhasseenbetter is because usernames with phrases like that are filtered, and they’d need to pick a better username?

Well yes, between tongue out cases “fully ejected” and “just the tip”, but I meant the distinction between “just the tip of the tongue, but going in” vs “going out”. i could have been clearer with how I put it.
Nope, the uploader just did not add any artist tag. As far as I can tell, “artist:urmomhasseenbetter” has never been used. misread your post

Auto-complete will only suggest a tag if it already exists on a certain number of pictures (I believe it’s 3). But you don’t need the auto-complete to add a tag. You can just type it out the whole way and add a comma at the end.
That said, if you have reason to believe the tag you’re adding is already widely used, then if it doesn’t show up in the auto-complete box, that could be a sign that the tag has a different name or you’re misspelling it.
