Is solo mare useful at all? Someone’s been adding this tag to a handful of images over the past couple days, and is actually adding more as I type (92 and counting right now). solo stallion also exists but just has one image.

I’m not sure I trust the judgement of the BP who’s been adding it either, since they’ve also been taking down the pony tag off those same images.

I’ve seen solo mare before and thought someone had just forgotten to put a comma between them.

At what point does something cease to be an alternate universe design and start to be an oc?  

Is there a correct tag for the latest image I post of Pinkie having a cake upside down? should it be flipped cake?

also what’s the tag for a character (a male) having sex with itself called? there’s too many tags on “sex” to know which one it is.

Pretty sure they’re talking about masturbation. It’s already been taken care of.

Depends on the situation. Sex/gender of the participant isn’t relevant, but there are more specific tags for what is being done to what sort of parts (autocunnilingus vs autofellatio, and so on).
 
Doing sexual things to one’s own body: “masturbation”. If certain magical/scifi shenanigans are involved, also “now you’re thinking with portals”.
 
Doing sexual things to another character, who is also the same character: “selfcest”.

Where do I put a request to have an alias added? I.e. starswirl -> starswirl the bearded
