If that were implemented, shouldn’t humanized (and any other [species]-ified tags) also be the same color?

Possible, not a terrible idea. I think those are important enough to signify. (inb4 but we just added a color stop adding more work)

I dunno. That’s not actually a Species itself. Just a tag stating that something had their species changed.  
I don’t think that or humanized or the other “-ized” tags need coloring.

Can we have specific colors for the gender tags pink for female and dark blue for male.

We only have so many colors left that we can use. Pink and blue are already being used on OCs and character tags respectively.

The preferred way would be to have a staff member alias the old to the new and then remove the alias. That way all the people following or blocking the old tag still have those settings preserved.

The Merman tag should be colored.

Some tags that need cleanup:  
pipe vs. smoking pipe  
Smoking pipe should probably be aliased into pipe, and the plumbing type of pipes need retagging as pipe (plumbing) or some other similar new tag. pipes will also need aliasing and warp pipe should imply.
 
There are probably also other pipe tags, like crack pipe and so on, that need aliasing or implying.
 
 
Similar situation with note, notes, and musical notes. Note and Notes need to be aliased and the pics which are actually musical notes need retagging as that.
 
Will do these tomorrow if nobody handles in the meantime.
 
Edit: possibly another: forced smile vs. fake smile

Might be worth keeping them separate, to distinguish between “a character forcing him/herself to smile” and “some outside force making a character smile involuntarily” (like someone grabbing their face and squishing it into a smile, or mind-controlling them, or something). Granted “forced smile” and “fake smile” both appear to be a mix of both scenarios at the moment.
