Night Hunter, along with Matias, turn up at a building located near the center of Ponyville, just before the Town Hall
 
NH: “Me and my brothers had troubles with the forest before when we first arrived here. It’s best to be prepared for whatever lies inside”
 
Night Hunter knocks on the door “Squad, it’s me. Our newcomer knows about us already, don’t be alarmed”
 
The door opens and 3 ponies walk out. Without their armor, they all had the same faces
 
62: “Heh, we missed your ruckus charm, sir”
 
07: “Good to see you again, sir!”
 
40: “Four-Oh, reporting for duty!”

Me: I’m amazed that Delta Squad is all together “Man, this is so cool!”

62: “Nice to see someone noticing our magnificence”
 
07: “More than you, wise guy…”
 
Night Hunter: “Quiet down, squad!” Turns to Matias “Since you know about us already, I’ll introduce them by their new names” Points to 62 “This is Thunder Force” Points to 07 “This is Fang Hunter” Points to 40 “And this is Rapid Haste”

NH: “Alright squad, we have a situation. Matias’ friend, Gerald, is reported to have run off into the forest. We’re going with him as escort for this rescue operation”
 
TF: “Not that I disagree with the orders, sir, but didn’t we have trouble getting through that forest alive last time?”
 
FH: “Considering what the old Pegasus said last time, those Timberwolves were tough ones to deal with”
 
RH: “Sir, it’s going to be risky. His friend might not even survive 5 minutes in there…”

Me: I look to Rapid Haste “He’s my friend, Haste. I’m not letting him die on my watch!”
 
I gallop off back to the cafe to inform Whistler of the news
 
Me: I look back to the group while galloping “We’ll meet up on the edge of Ponyville!”

TF: “Man, he’s determined, I’ll give him that”
 
FH: Looks to Rapid Haste “Think it’s safe to say that he’s not lying down on this”
 
RH: Looks to Fang Hunter and then to Night Hunter “Well, Boss?”
 
NH: Looks to the group “We might not be taking orders from Jedi or Clone Advisors…we might not be fighting enemies of the Republic…but, since our new duties here, I will not let a citizen die while we’re around! Looks to the house “Gear up, we’re moving out!”
 
TF, FH, RH: “YES SIR!”

Me: I rush in through the door and take a moment to get my breath “Whistler…Texty…we have a problem. It’s Gerald, he’s ran off to the Everfree Forest!”

he finds that vigil had gone straight to his wheelbraced father who was already rifling through his saddlebags and producing a number of steaming metal bottles.
 
“i had planned to sell these to sugarcube corner for their ice cream menu, but as it is, let’s see if i got the formula down right.”

Me: I facehoof myself and murmur “_{Right, I already told your son about this…}” I walk over to the table “What formula? What’s in the bottles?”

“the cryotech was the second most important technology after chrono teleport to be developed, it was meant for law enforcement purposes, you freeze something in place and unless you took a mallet to them you can thaw them back out easily.”
 
vigil: “it can also be regulated to put ice at the “just right” temperature.”

“I don’t think I’ll be of much use in this case, you guys go on without me.” Texty said.
 
(I think I’ll go ahead and bow out at this point, you guys seem to plow ahead so much there’s really no reason for me to be here.)

Vigil: “well, actually, will you be fine going to the castle on your own? it’s basically in the middle of the most dangerous forest in the country.”
 
(no need to feel discouraged, we can do a slow lane too.)

OOC: We’re just used to doing these sort of “talk for a bit then action” sequences. If you want, we’ll slow down after this next one. I just wanted to liven things up a bit.

Me: “Cryo bottles eh? That’d be useful for anything we might encounter” I pick one up

(I Suppose I can keep trying for a bit longer, I just have trouble following things when there’s too many posts. I kinda have no idea what’s going on.)
 
“I never go there alone.” Texty said.

(I think the problem is we don’t announce things ahead of time so we don’t give others a heads up on where the “story” is going)
 
Me: I look to Texty “After hearing the dangers in the forest, I doubt you, of all creatures, would want to go by yourself”

Me: I then look to Whistler “Fortunately, we’ve got some backup in the form of Delta Squad”

OOC: Okay, to make this a little easier, here’s a general summary of where this is going. Gerald’s had a traumatic experience related to Whister’s role of accomplice. As the other characters are going in to rescue him, Gerald’s just having vivid hallucinations in the forest of the experience until we eventually find him and bring him back to Ponyville for recovery.
 
OOC: Perhaps delay our postings by a day or two? Sound ok to everyone else?

Me: I look to the cryo bottle I picked up earlier “Hmm, anyon-anypony got a bag for these?”

In his frightened state, Gerald Dalton had made his way to the edge of the Everfree Forest. He looked around to see no-one was following him and sat down by a tree to calm himself
 
GD: Heavy panting “Ok, Gerald…gotta remain calm about this…gotta remain calm”
 
He looks back to Ponyville and thought about what he did earlier
 
GD: “Why did I suffer those pains? I thought it subsided when I was abruptly brought here…so why did it flare up again?”
 
He puts his hoof on his head as said pain came back
 
GD: “Why do I hear that voice? Why is it tormenting me? WHY CAN’T I JUST BE RID OF IT!?”
 
He hits the tree with his hoof
 
???: “Maybe its to remind you that you’re such a naive little boy!
 
Gerald looks around
 
GD: “What’s that supposed to mean!?”
 
???: “Remember when you trusted me, like the pathetic little ass-kisser you are? Honestly, I can’t see why you haven’t just taken an axe and tried to kill Whistler, considering his dirty little closet…”
 
GD: “SHUT UP! SHUT UP!”
 
Gerald gets up again and runs into the Forest
 
OOC: I think it’s safe to say Gerald had an unfortunate incident prior to Equestria :P

“I mean, I’m not a fool.” Texty said. “While my pulse can allow me to ‘see’, it is not useful for any situation that requires fast reflexes. When I do plan on going into the forest, I will have a guard or two with me, ones already familiar with the area.”
