OOC: They have that, harvestfield is kind of a greenhouse, and even the vegetal decoration of that bar are also used that way. It’s just that Harvestfield doesn’t do exotic or tropical fruits so they remain a rarity mostly imported from Donkeys.

OOC: I mean for example you could use the greenhouses to keep it warm and humid enough for tropical fruits fairly easily, you’d just need the occasional misting to keep the humidity high, tweak the gas content to make it easier for the insulation to keep the heat in, and they’d likely be able to save even more energy since the diamond dogs would presumably have far better night sight given where they live and could therefore put less energy in to producing visible spectrum light with plants the red and blue parts of the spectrum.

But more specifically on what Liala said, how much would that have cost?

OOC: Energy is not even a problem for them in this RP anyway, it’s the investment to make the infrastructure that it would takes.

But I actually got inspired since that conversation started, I think they should try to make high heat crop in Oredenton, the very polluted metal work city they meet Liala in. The entire city is already overheating so that is taken care of, but also that could be the occasion to use those plants to make the air there more bearable for the permanent citizen and fix a little what is as of now the worse Equestrian made(so not tib related) ecological disaster.

And 8 bits for both. It’s been a while but I kind of remember that prices in diamond dogs bits are low in this universe.

OOC: Maybe, but with more energy would also be more waste heat since nothing is truly 100 percent efficient.

But that could work depending on what they’re GMO tech is like.
