Shimmer: Ha-ha, very funny. Guess you heard Fluttershy in the front. pump automatically stops and she ejects the bottles But seriously though, money IS important. Sometimes every penny is valuable. Best to remember that.
 
Her lecture done and the pump finished, she slips on her bra and a new shirt and takes the bottles back to the kitchen. Now you’re left to sit there watching tv until your back recovers in a few more hours.
 
Now past noon, you check to see if you back is doing much better than before. You slowly get up and, despite some leftover pain, you manage to finally get back on your feet, meaning it’s time to get back to work. You exit your room and find Shimmer watching TV in the front.
 
Shimmer: turns to look at you Finally fixed, are we?

well i won’t doing any extreme limbo contests for the rest of the day buuut i think i’ll live.

Shimmer: Sounds good to hear. So…what’s for lunch?

You and Shimmer teaming together? This seems much nicer! You both enter the kitchen and pull out the contents for the pizza. It’s a simple recipe to follow so both of you cooking get it done in no time. Only difference with the pizza though is that the meat was replaced with tofu again. One hour of kitchen cooking later your pizza is finally ready for consumption. You both take a seat around the 18” Pizza.
 
Shimmer: Perfect size and perfectly cooked. Go ahead and have at it.

Shimmer: I learned by myself actually. There were cooking classes in high school but my home experience helped. takes bite We did a pretty good job with this pizza.

i’d think so…ya know you don’t really talk about your past that much.

Shimmer: …I still don’t like talking about it much. I mean there’s not much to talk about if you think about it. Still, I would like to just eat lunch for now.

fair enough… how are those two doing? they seem quiet.

Shimmer: looks down They “seem” quiet, but they’re not. The yoga we did last night was still not enough to knock them out. And you’d think being tired would keep me heavily asleep but it didn’t either.

Shimmer: I’ll find something eventually. But for now my womb’s pretty much a boxing ring.

Shimmer: You’ve been doing good for me already. I won’t let you beat yourself over a lack of sleep.
 
You both finish the pizza and Shimmer retreats back to your room with Tigger right behind her. As the hours continue to pass, you feel your back recovering at a slow but significant rate. By around 5:30 time you feel fully healed. Healed enough that you decide to go check on Shimmer. You find her asleep on your bed…with Tigger taking her nap right on top of her big belly. Nothing much you can do but plan out the evening’s dinner.
 
You decided a soup would be enough for tonight, specifically bean soup. During your cooking you receive a phone call for the first time in a while and you pick up the phone.
 
Rarity: Hello, Ted. How’s our friend doing?

she’s definitely doing better. she’s asleep right now though. i just wish i could help her get the the babies to calm down…you think somethings wrong with them?

Rarity: No, I just think there’s a way her babies can respond to her but she just hasn’t found out yet. What I do when I need to keep my baby boy down is that I tell it a story. Good practice before he even comes out.

Rarity: Sometimes nursery stories, sometimes stories from my younger years. But with Shimmer, perhaps a good talk should do it. That is if she’s up to it.

You hang up the phone and continue to finish cooking the soup. Kitten comes meowing for food and you give him another scoop for dinner. And speaking of dinner, the soup is ready and you place two bowls on the table. You look over to your door to see Shimmer…not acting like herself. She seems even more tired than usual. You’re not sure what’s with her but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
