Princess Cadance is invited to the Dragon Lands by Dragon Lord Ember, who uncomfortably explains that, as part of the recent fad of adopting pony culture, a young dragon couple has requested that the Princess of Love teach them how to go on dates and show each other affection.
 
 
The Dark Horse Rises  
When Princess Celestia’s tiara and choker disappear in the middle of the night, she refuses to leave her room or be seen by anyone. As Equestria’s government screeches to a halt and the Royal Guard run into only dead ends, Princess Luna dons cowl and cape to reach beyond the letter of the law and find the culprit personally.

When Twilight Sparkle seals the bulk of his magic out of punishment for one of his pranks, Discord decides to become a productive member of Equestrian society. Serious problems occur when he reinvents himself as a hip-hop artist - right down to changing his face and voice! - as well as a talented blacksmith, attempting to perform both jobs simultaneously. Guest-stars Will Smith as Discord’s altered persona.

The villains get butt hurt about their losses and the mane six are portrayed as tyrants.

Salesponies Nonpareil: The Cutie Map summons the Cutie Mark Crusaders to Las Pegasus, where they find the infamous FlimFlam bros in the midst of a cutie mark crisis. To get them out of their funk, the CMC have to help them run one last scam, even if they don’t like doing it.
 
The episode ends with the scam successful and the Bros tallying up their bits, only for the CMC’s “cutie mark consultancy fee” to cost the exact amount they earned, leaving them with nothing but a promise to only be honest for the rest of their lives.

I like this one because it means the Crusaders get away with a con and Flim and Flam don’t.

The best part is it doesn’t even have to be a con per se, if the cold open introduces the idea that the Crusaders get paid for what they do (which isn’t unreasonable) then they can just add up all their costs and rob Flim and Flam blind while being perfectly honest. I might turn this idea into a fic once I finish my Sweetie Bot fic.

Interestingly, I’ve seen a fic continuum in which the main 5 Apples are technically lord and ladies, since they were granted land. So, not royalty in that case, but nobility. (They’re not exactly proud of it, though Applejack does enjoy quietly rubbing it in the muzzles of ponies who don’t exactly think of an earth pony, much less an active farmer, when they hear “lady”.)

Ignoring that Equestria could only be more American if the ponies ate bacon and shot beer cans while titles of nobility are almost solely a European concept…
 
The connection of property grants to titles such as lord, baron, etc. is feudal in nature. This would imply that the Apples 1. are the official governors of Ponyville and 2. have sworn fealty to the crown i.e. are subject to military marshal.
 
1 is a hornet’s nest already, as the show has never explained whether the Princess of Friendship (who may or may not be the third highest-ranking figure in the government) abruptly growing a massive castle in the middle of Ponyville has had any effect on how the town is governed. Mayor Mare hasn’t been given an opportunity to complain, just like Cheerilee hasn’t been given an opportunity to scream about Twilight opening her own school and stealing some of Cheerilee’s students.
 
2 is probably not the case, though, other than Applejack’s duties as an Element of Harmony. Granny’s probably been excused from service with honors after single-hoofedly destroying an enemy nation armed with only a cane and a rude voice.

Modern aristocracy, perhaps? Hell, even in colonial America landowners were treated as nobility if they didn’t have a title. I would not be shocked if the Apples were Barons or Lords de jure, even though Ponyville is a mayoral democracy.

Diamond Is a Girl’s Best Friend: With Apple Bloom busy with the harvest and Sweetie Belle helping Rarity with her fall lineup, Scootaloo is bored and looking for a friend. She finds Diamond Tiara, who treats her to a day in the high life of the wealthy, a world that clashes with Scootaloo’s thrill-seeking tendencies.

Equestria Girls 1-hour special: Sisters in Arms (needs a better title, but I’ve got nothing ATM): The human CMC make imitation geodes out of hero-worship for their older sisters, but having them around next time the Rainbooms transform allows them to soak up Equestrian magic, which reacts to the CMC’s desire to be more like their role models and turns the fake geodes into three new real ones, granting them magic powers of their own. Now the Human 7 must decide if the CMC can be trusted with their new powers… and CMC have to prepare for the responsibility that comes with them.
 
Powers are as follows:  
Apple Bloom: Can repair and alter non-living objects.  
Sweetie Belle: Can decrease the speed of anything.  
Scootaloo: Flight. (Sweetie Belle will probably wind up saving her life at least once while they’re still getting used to their powers.)

That’s actually a fairly interesting idea.

The finale should be the Mane Six meeting the G1 ponies, who help them defeat Grogar, a la Turtles Forever. It’d be a nice treat for people who grew up watching G1.
