Though the biggest piece of evidence is the cyclops.

I honestly don’t mind every single pony not worshiping twilight wherever she goes just because she’s a princess. Makes it more realistic.

Eh, Twilight hasn’t been a princess since season four ended, so her being treated like every other unicorn makes sense.

No, what would be realistic would be a mix of reactions, ranging from good to bad.

I’m surprised alicorns aren’t considered too special in-universe; they have every type of pony magic and more.

Assuming background alicorns are an animation error, seeing one should evoke some kind of reaction. And one would think that Celestia would make some kind of press release about her student becoming an alicorn. I could probably nitpick some of the choices made about the show to death, even from the first three episodes, though.

Flash is too confident to be a simp. He actually asked Twilight to the dance. Twice.

He kinda lost it in the sequels though, and kinda became a “joke” in them, constantly getting shut-down, with Derpy even pitying him.
 
Honestly, I kinda feel bad for Flash, because it seems like it’s not just the fanbase that dislikes him, but the show-runners too. (And they don’t even know what to do with him.)

She seems to be the least popular CMC, but she’s still my favorite.
 
Sweetie’s cute, & funny usually, but is a bit bratty at times, (and hates seapony culture omg speciest!) and Scootaloo’s cool, but not much going for her. It’s not like they have super-detailed epic backstories either.  
Overall, I enjoy all the CMC regardless.
