I don’t think the G5 is stealing the spotlight of G4. G5 only got one movie and I only read positive reviews from professional critics. G4 is still really big (you just have to see the trending fanart and animations it gets in Derpibooru, with popular characters such as Twilight, Celestia and Rainbow Dash.
And here’s the thing: MLP:FiM was on from 2010 to 2019. Literally we got soooo many episodes for 9 years. And the story is over. Twilight’s journey is over. All the plots are finished. Twilight’s friends have another priorities. Basically, it’s finished. I can’t imagine the cast, the writers and the composer going back to do even more episodes after the events of The last problem.
As much as I love MLP:FiM, I also want new stuff, with new worlds, new characters, new contextual details, etc. And you know what else I love more than MLP:FiM? Film as a whole. If MLP The new generation is fun and exciting, I will be excited not only for the movie, but also for the future.
And I said it before, but it’s not like MLP:FiM was perfect in every way.
You know? Screw it. I’m gonna watch it today. I’ve found a link for it. :P
