I get the feeling PL is to undo all the stuff DHX did that Hasbro didn’t want…

Idk, but I kinda enjoying watching people turning their OCs into PL style.  
It shows that, despite the massive hate from the start, its now getting more acceptation from the people.

I mean after the false alarms from Starlight/Twilicorn/Pink Wedding Princess/CMC getting more episodes/CMC getting their cutie marks/Trixie not being the season 1 finale villian/The season 1 finale being a anticlimax/Discord getting reformed/Slice of life episodes rather than Sailor Moon shenanigans…

Really, this is probablly less harmful than all of those put together because FIM is over and can’t really be damaged even if it goes wrong.

Eh, it’s not that bad, from what little I’ve seen. It just seems to be trying to coast on FiM and change stuff for what I assume to be Hasbro preferring the PL version of the canon…

Yeah. “The Best Night Ever” was really controversial at the time. Trixie had already exploded in popularity, and everyone was speculating what would exactly go wrong with the Grand Galloping Gala. A lot of people were already predicting “Trixie shows up for revenge!”
 
“It was kinda shit, and full of assholes” deflated a lot of people’s expectations.
 
Also, the lack of Luna.

I don’t think there were a lot of options at that point. Ponibooru didn’t exist, EQD was just a news site, and 4chan was still cancer.
