Unpopular opinion time

Another one:
 
I find it absolutely amazing how few people realize how important the Mane Six being taken as a whole is. Them, and by connection the Elements, rely on all being together.
 
That’s why I find it hard to say “best pony” in the Mane Six. They’re essentially six traits that are admirable in any friend split up into six seperate characters. If you take out one of these traits, none of the rest matter.

More unpopular opinions:
 
-I cannot stand the pony.mov series. It basically takes all the elements I disliked about late 90’s animation (grotesque animation, grossout humor, lulz taking precedence over characterization) and sticks it into MLP. Which ruins it because part of the reason I like MLP:FIM so much is because it manages to be funny and interesting without resorting to that stuff.
 
-Not really pony related, but eh: I’ve never been able to get into ATLA. I watched the first ten episodes or so, and I just didn’t care much for the cast. The only ones I really liked were Sokka (who’s basically comic relief, at least in the early episodes) and Iroh, who’s largely there just as support for Zuko. I understand it’s supposed to get better later on, and I’ll probably give it another chance when I have the time, but I’m really having to force myself to watch it.
 
Similarly, I’ve never been able to really get into Adventure Time. It’s good entertainment, but the amount of absurdism in the show makes it impossible for me to ever take it seriously.

I hate Bronies having fruitless conversations about the show that go on for days. Even though no matter how long these conversations go, these conversations have no value whatsoever.

I like Dubstep.

I would like to go to a bronycon.

Sombra is best villain.

I hate how people tend to consider Fluttershy as worst of the mane 6 for lacking personality when Applejack never gets judged for having that same flaw. My second opinion is also that Applejack is lacking in personality.

I think that bronies are irritating.

I actually enjoyed Mysterious Mare Do Well. It certainly wasn’t one of my favorite episodes, but I actually liked watching it.

I’d say a lot of people seem to like it, and in the livestreams they did like it UP UNTIL THE ‘moral’ and then it left them with a really sour taste, especially that Dash supposedly couldn’t figure out the moral on her own but had to be outright told. That’s what really got everyone thinking it was OOC and handled poorly. The 15 minutes prior seemed to be building to her discovering it on her own due to being shown up constantly. I think a lot of people just felt that the moral doesn’t work if it had to be told.

Makes sense. Though I did find it weird how oddly… I dunno, vertical Ponyville felt in comparison to other episodes. Like it was somehow more hilly than in any other episode.

There isn’t an episode that I outright hate. Even the “bad” episodes(Mare Do Well, Magical Mystery Cure, etc.) were at least somewhat enjoyable.
 
Double Rainboom was meh. It wasn’t good, but at the same time, it wasn’t completely unwatchable.
 
I’m not against the idea of Twilight being an alicorn.
 
I didn’t like Derpy’s first voice.
 
I think the fandom takes the show a bit too seriously at times.
 
Equestria Daily is an okay site.
 
/mlp/ can be funny at times.

I have several, but here’s a bomb I’ve wanted to drop:
 
I do not care for the Mother Derpy fanon at all. It forces sympathy on her and has little to no support in canon, instead of simply embracing her charm and carefreeness. It at least make more sense with Dr. Whooves involved, but even that ship is on shaky grounds, since the only support I see is that Derpy is a blond like Rose. Most of all, I’m sorry, but whenever I’ve even seen Dinky with a palpable personality, she comes off Mary-Sue-ish and even outright overpowered because lol unicorn.

Actually, I was slightly taken back with the scale of Rarity’s magic in “Magical Mystery Cure.” She was able to alter the weather pattern of an entire town and even start a tornado around her. It’s basically canon though that unicorns have a distinct advantage over both ponies, down to opening up peanut butter jars.
 
Now, bear in mind I didn’t mean Dinky was OP just by virtue of being a unicorn, but that it was used as a vehicle for making her that. For example, I noticed a strip recently where she nearly violently murdered Discord Whooves, an adult pegasus, with her magic. That… is OP, and makes her less believable as a character.

Ever watched Doctor Who? The Doctor has the ability to travel through time, yes, but that’s pretty much it.
