8/10 because out of all the princesses (excl. Twilight, since in the narrative’s timeline, she became a princess only yesterday), she’s had the most character development.

Still agree with what you’re saying though

Salt Miner.
There are no “bad” episodes, only mediocre ones.

Sombra was the best villain on the show so far.

I seriously don’t understand how an episode with an honest-to-God reference to Batman The animated Series could be considered terrible. Twi & co. knew Dash would never listen to them due to her swollen ego, so they decided to teach her by example to not be a jackass. Why is that SO HARD to get?

Trixie is fun, but not as interesting as the fandom makes her out to be.

Chrysalis had near to no personality or backstory whatsoever and that made her kind of a stale villain.

Everytime I see shipping within the Mane 6 I feel like slamming head through my desk.

I don’t get all the fuzz about Braeburn. I also don’t get why the fandom made him gay.

Even though I love the characters themselves, as a group I sometimes feel like slapping the CMC on the back of the head for being so stupid.

Luna has the most interesting backstory, but Cadance is by far the most active and, let’s face it, most useful of the princesses. Excluding Twilight.

I like fluffy ponies. Abuse and Hugbox alike. They have that tragic edge that breaks my heart every time. I also don’t understand why people rage so much about it, and don’t just ignore it if they don’t like it.

The .MOV series is one of the greatest achievements that has ever graced the fandom.

Double Rainboom was not as bad as people make it out to be.

Speaking of fan projects, getting the Cease & Desist by Hasbro is, in a strange way, the best thing that could have happened to Mane6. Now they have financial backing, a professional designer in the form of Lauren Faust, a better game engine to program with and even more moral support.

Prince Blueblood and Diamond Tiara both need an episode. It would add depth to the cardboard cutout “jerkface”-stereotype. Make one for Gilda too, while you’re at it.

Whilst I enjoy the show very, very much, I still think it’s absurdly overrated. It’s probably not even in my top 15 favourite animated shows.

-I really did not like the end of “Keep Calm and Flutter On”. You just can’t reform the God of Chaos, even if he’ll be just “a little more” good.

-Though I do like Babs Seed’s character, I don’t like how the episode ended. I really thought it was a good opportunity to teach kids that “Hey, you can’t win over all people will kindness”, because that’s an unfortunate truth. Besides, her final words to DT and Silver still make me cringe.

“I’ll tell your mothers ‘bout your bad attitude!” Really? Nobody’s ass would have been kicked in grade school for saying something as singularly moronic as that?

@FlutterLove
Exactly. Also it’d have to compete with a lot of anime like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, etc, etc.
And then there’s the nostalgic stuff: The Simpsons, DuckTales, The Pinkie and The Brain, the 1940’s and 50’s Donald Duck and Looney Tunes cartoons, Tom & Jerry, the first three seasons of SpongeBob Squarepants (which were worthy of an Emmy, in retrospect), even an internet cartoon like Homestar Runner…

Yup, as hard as it is to admit, but MLP:FiM would be pounded into the dirt by most of those.

I don’t know, I find that most cartoons that I once held in high regard are now pretty dated and not as funny…

FiM is still the best cartoon of its kind in years, and definitely one of the best ones to be made from licensed material.

Depends. MLP:FiM is definitely the best cartoon directed at young girls to come out in the past couple of decades.

But there are so many fantastic and frankly, much better children’s shows out there right now. Adventure Time, The Legend Of Korra, Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb, The Looney Tunes Show… I could go on, but I think I made my point.

Have you watched any of the shows I’ve mentioned?
Gravity Falls has amazing emotional depth.
Adventure Time has a surprisingly dark backstory and is still light-hearted and hilarious.
The Legend of Korra is a sequel to Avatar: TLA. Enough said.
Phineas and Ferb has that great, nostalgic summery feel we all had as kids.
The Looney Tunes Show revived classic, hilarious characters into the modern world.

MLP:FiM is a great little show, but it is definitely not the Holy Grail many make it out to be.

I’ve seen all of those shows. Only one I’d watch again is Gravity Falls. The others just didn’t pull me in, sorry.

I’ll show you a cilp from Adventure Time.
It’s about the slow descent of a once renowned scientist into madness through a mysterious demon crown. In a kid’s show. It’s (no pun intended) spine-chillingly well done. Here you go.

Also, have you watched Avatar: The Last Airbender? You really should. It’s often called “the best form of children’s media since Batman: The Animated Series”.

I’ve seen several episodes of Adventure Time. Given it multiple chances. Again, I could not get into it. I’ve also seen Avatar. Bits and pieces of it, but again, it’s nothing that I would want to follow. If you like it, fine. I just don’t, even after I gave them several chances.

Okay, let me move on and say another unpopular opinion:

Aw, that’s too bad. Avatar truly is an epic, deep story and worth watching from beginning to end. Kind of Harry Potter-esque, with a group of young teens fighting against a seemingly unbeatable evil, and learning life’s lessons along the way. I just adore it.

Also, I’d say Owlowiscious is smartest pet.

-I’ve never understood a lot of the criticisms of Sweet & Elite. Not to say that there aren’t valid criticisms, but if the episode is so wretched in your eyes… shouldn’t you blame the writer for writing such a bad episode, rather than blaming Rarity for being in an episode you don’t like?
Every other choice we don’t like in this show is blamed on the writers: Spike becoming a pussy, Pinkie being retardedly lolrandum, Dash’s treatment in S2, Twilicorn, Twilight being more concerned about a test in Crystal Empire, so on and so forth.

I remember watching Avatar a while back. Was pretty much the best cartoon in the West in a while. Best part was it beating SpongeBob in the Kid’s Choice Awards once.

What is there to explain? I like a intricate, mystical fantasy-story and he doesn’t. Both is fine by me.

I hear ya man, I hear ya. That’s back when SpongeBob turned from a hilarious sit-com-style cartoon into the disgusting marketing ploy it is today.
(sniff) … So tragic.
