It’s not about being funny, it’s about calling the OP a blithering idiot without stooping down to churlish homophobic slurs.
 
After all, if people argue (horribly mistakenly) that “faggot” no longer means “gay” due to its current use as simply “bad”, then why can’t we do the same with “duck”?

I think that TSP and Seth, well really any Trixiefans in general, all need to go to bed.

That’s a problem, most of the “safe” pics aren’t safe it all, the only thing that reminds me that we’re on site about a kids show it’s the clean language.

That’s understandable but then why not just say “OP is a blithering idiot?”

Because the inevitable confusion is amusing. And, it’s an “established term”; if we “allow” plain language for these things, then we end up with two dozen different tags from “op is a blithering idiot” to “op is a dumby” passing through “op is a person that is not smart and smells funny”.
 
Plus, it allows for people to post images of ducks with macros ala “this is OP”. Can’t really do that with something as plain as “idiot”.

I’m not referring to the parodies.

I can find some character trait I like in all of the Mane Six.

I don’t like when bronies try to convince non-bronies that the show it’s not for kids or little girls, calling it a mature show for older audience.  
It is a kids show, there is no doubt about, it’s pure and heartwarming, i thought that was the reason we all liked it, are we really ashamed to admit that?

To be honest  
I don’t have a favorite episode, non of the ponies reallydi anything for me^, and I really only connect with a few. The music, I love it. Not that many shows, where I just want to hear the chatacters sing so much, I’m not saying it’s something I would like to hear all the damn time, it’s actually perfect the way it is. Background ponies, I miss derpy, I really do, the others, nah nothing not really no….

Spike episodes aren’t really great at all, like I mean they’re not the worst out there, but they aren’t the best out there

Me neither, I mostly see people hating on Spike and Spike centered episodes.

I kind of like/am amused by some fanon interpretations of BG ponies.

Funny cause I see more people who liked the spike episodes, except for Spike at your service

I’ve pretty much liked every episode, but especially Magical Mystery Cure. I don’t think Mare-Do-Well is the worst episode, in fact, I would go so far as to say I don’t have a worst episode. All of the episodes I didn’t really like I just tend to forget about. I don’t really care about Derpy Hooves. I thought Spike was cute in Spike at Your Service, despite his being bad at chores.

Seasons 2 and 3 were better in every way than season 1.

I loved, really loved when Fluttershy kicked the background ponies asses on Putting Your Hoof Down, i never felt so relieved in months, that’s what made me change my mind about Shy.  
I wouldn’t mind seeing more of that, i don’t think they got it enough.

Princess Luna is overrated as hell. She’s only loved because of some tragic headcannon to justify her behavior running up to and including the first 2 episodes. and being beautiful is about the only thing good about her. And ****, Celestia is better looking and more personable. Luna is like Evanescence’s Amy Lee and there’s better looking ponies out there. and ooooooooooooooooooooh she can see into your dreams. ooooooooooooooooo. Freddy Kruger anyone? hardly original. and if she’s such a badass, where was she during the changeling attack? playing wow? sleeping? or too scared to stand up for herself still?  
Princess luna simply sucks. period. full stop. end of story.

my idea for where Luna was during the Changeling attack was she either was working with them or she was taken out by a single drone and her pride wouldn’t let her admit it so she just lied and asked if she missed anything
 
and I think Twilight is more suited to being a princess than Luna is and is around as suitable as Candance
