Regardless of what people think of the Season 9 series finale.
AT LEAST the main series came to a conclusion.

Meanwhile Equestria Girls was simply just ended abruptly without ceremony or anyth proper fingale. I would have anticipated they'd at least stretch the series for a little beyond the ending of season 9 FiM, to give it s proper conclusion. But instead, corporate mandate just simply pulled the plug to the series.
This makes me wonder if the show staff had something planned in the works still stored up somewhere in the papers.
