Never said she Tried to kill him. I said she Disintergrated him, which she did. His physical body disperated into particles in that beam. The moment she loses her cool she resorts to overwhelming, landscape destroying magical violence on her friend.


 
Discord deserved it. But it don't make Starlight any better considering the lessons she's supposedly learned by this point.


 
So many people try to defend Starlight by deflecting to other characters fuck up's, as if that somehow Absolves starlight. Due to Starlights history, and crimes, her propensity for mind control and magic abuse will always be worse in context because of where she came from, who she is and what she did.


 
We don't need to make up reasons to hate her. She gives plenty reasons all on her own.
