Tree Hugger talk

so because I couldn’t find a thread about her to post in, here’s my own! I know Treesie gets a lot of teasing from the fandom that she’s just a dumb, stoner hippie, but I think there’s a lot more to her, if people really look.
 
What do people like about Tree Hugger?
 

I just thought it was nice to see Fluttershy make a friend who appreciates her mellow & quiet side. And you know, somepony who is a little less… egocentric?

agreed. It’s a shame we haven’t seen her since “Make New Friends But Keep Discord”. She got a few second cameo in a CMC episode after that, but we haven’t seen her around Fluttershy since. Such a shame, really. I can understand if she’s trying to avoid Discord or something (but he’s not around Flutters 24/7). I’d like to see Treesie try to work out a friendship with Discord not that things have had time to settle, after what happened at the Gala.

Tree Hugger is an easy going and lovable pony. She has great skill with creatures. She saved the day at the gala.

ive always found her stoner schtick kind of overdone and forced, but i still really do like her, BECAUSE of the other sides to her like this.
 
i think its really sweet that they gave fluttershy someone to relate to, and who doesnt want her to change herself (as other people in this thread have said) and plus, her view on life and the world and stuff hasnt really been seen before, so i think its refreshing to have more alternative types of ponies on the show… and not to mention i love how accepting she is!!
 
design wise too, i like that theyve made the possibility of a pony having dreadlocks canon.. hahaha idk its just nice to see!!
