They have truly lost their minds. Good thing Hasbro didn’t accept.
 
I just wish there was a 2D animation renaissance.
 
I have come to roll my eyes to most CGI stuff in animation.
 
Though things like that Paperman short or the 2D-looking Kung-Fu Panda sequences from Dreamworks gives ne hope that a middle ground can be reached.

They were adamant that no one would be interested in this film, that none of the characters save for Rarity were interesting, and that it was too confusing. The only conceivable way to do this in their minds was to throw out everything and bring them to Earth, and have them all voiced by celebrity VAs.

Hasbro was always planning to do the film internally right from the start, what they needed was a distributor.

Well I guess Spike isn’t ever getting wings unless they were conveniently hidden in both cases.

I would bet money on Justice League, Thor, and Star Wars all SIGNIFICANTLY outgrossing the MLP movie.

x-men: gambit or what ever FOX/marvel movie they have planned will be the major opposite and I know they have something big to debut because they cancelled a CON panel resently because of piracy concerns so there’s a good chance that there hiding something plus they will likely do the 2 superhero movies a year thing like marvel studios, DC and in fact they started doing it this year with deadpool & x-men apocalypse so 2017: the wolverine & ?????

I’m not bothered by the seapony transformation at all. Maybe it’s because I’ve only seen “Rescue at Midnight Castle” a handful of times. The conceptual designs for both the Mane Six and the ponies they meet are pretty good, too.
 
Going in, I knew the plot wouldn’t be much to write home about: an adventure beyond the comfort of home and into a scary, foreign world. If this is the angle they’re shooting for, then I can only hope the scale and scope will be amazing. I trust Meghan knows what to do with the Mane Six and Spike, as we’ve seen time and again, though I get the haunting feeling Celestia will be among the ponies caught.
 
Speaking of which, I really have to wonder what kind of villains they’re up against. By the “looming threat” mentioned in the press release, I was not expecting it to be a group over a singular villain. Consider me sufficiently hyped.

depends on what FOX/marvel movie coming out that same day it’s ether gambit or new mutants since FOX has hinted that they moved up production on it after the success of deadpool plus they resently cancelled a comic con panel basically because they didn’t want leaks getting out plus like marvel studios & DC there doing 2 hero movies per year thing there already doing it this year with deadpool & x-men: apocalypse

That’s ridiculous. You’re assuming that they will be sea ponies for the entirety of the movie, you’re assuming intent to troll, and your response is very childish. Also, why do people complain about toy plugs in a toy-based show? It only makes sense if those toy plugs are forced, which they never are.

And also, ik they wont be sea ponies for the entire movie, just 90% of it like in eqg 1 when we got pony at the beginning and end of the movie only

Nope, they weren’t. They were properly integrated into the story, it would be impossible to tell that they were toys if you didn’t know the show was toy bassed, and the designs were perfectly fine. Watch G1 Transformers or G1 or 3 MLP to see actual forced toy plugs. Also, why are you assuming they will be sea ponies for 90% of the runtime. You’re just getting angry over your own baseless assumptions at this point.
