As far as i know there is literally no info of what happens on the movie so far, so assuming that much outta nowhere seems wrong  
Heck we dont even know if it will be slice of life or adventure themed

How much do you guys think, this movie will actually make? I recently saw some unrealistic numbers like 1 billion dollars.
 
Also, will this be a G Movie, or maybe even PG?

Justice League Part 1- November 17th  
Pixar’s Coco- November 22nd  
Star Wars Episode 8- December 15th

tbh, Star Wars will be the only thing besides ponies that I may watch in theaters. All the other movies just don’t seem interesting.

Especially considering that it’s a two-for-one-Marvel-film: Hulk is co-starring, with rumors of adapting elements from “Planet Hulk”…not to mention Thanos is finally being proactive and is going to destroy the Norse Pantheon aka the entire realm of Asgard and everyone in it…hence the title “Ragnarok”.
 
This is a huuuuuuge movie, and it’s suicide for MLP to be released in the same weekend.
 
Not to mention that inherent problem with having an older male fanbase: the embarrassment/judging stares of going up to the ticket box and saying “Hi, 1 Adult for My Little Pony”

Well ive never had a problem before to buy tickets when i went to watch rainbow rocks and friendship games, helps a lot to see tons of other random bronies around doing it too tho  
Maybe it was just luck but not even the guys that attended me seemed to mind that i was asking tickets for an eqg movie

Which would have been the good date to release the movie ?No seriously,because if we go by the logic that FIMovie will fail against any other movies released at the same time,the movie will never be released.If you look at the 2017 films page at Wikipedia,there’s at least one blockbuster every two months (and all the movies havent been anounced yet)

Holy hell,good to see that i’m not the only one with the same problem,i have no effin’ clue on how i’m going to pull that off at the theater when November 2017 will come,i was thinking on buying a ticket online but then i’ll still have to present my ticket to the guy that guard the access to the projections rooms.I had no problem asking tickets for Zootopia but MLP ? That’s another story entirely T_T Maybe we’ll see a situation similar to when the South Park movie was released ,teens were buying tickets for Wild Wild West but once in the theater they were going to the room projecting South Park instead,in that case we’ll see twenty something guy purchasing Thor tickets then sneaking to the MLP screening.  
AND (because that’s not the end of it) i cant even count on an hypothetical group of bronies to blend myself in , i dont live in a big city/MLP is not as big as a craze in Europe,especially in a non-English speaking country

Wait, now I’m wondering why are people focusing on the release date alone? It’s not like it’s going to show the movie on that particular day. Who knows, it may even end up as a sleeper hit.

Part of it is the public stigma that remains against the franchise, so it’s not really going to attract as much of a general audience; not to mention that there may be some parents who won’t take their kids to MLP because they buy into the negative stereotype of bronies and don’t want to expose their kids to those deviants.
 
But then again, who knows? Jeffery Katzenberg once sat down with John Musker and Ron Clements and warned them, “Look guys, ‘The Little Mermaid’ is a girl’s film, so it’s probably not going to make as much money as a boy’s film like ‘Oliver and Company’.”
 
Clements and Musker just looked at one another and then back to Katzenberg, “This is a girl’s film?”
 
…and now you know the rest of the story.

I have to admit, The Little Mermaid was never a favorite of mine, but I’d never say it was a bad movie. Heck, late 80s to mid 90s Disney was pretty much the touchstone of my youth. So many memorable films in that timeframe.
 
I guess it just goes to show that if you respect the story and the audience you’re trying to tell it to, and actually care about the finished product, you’ll probably make a good movie.

You can never be quick to judge how a movie will perform commercially, this movie may even end up as a cult classic. Only time will tell.

to a good chuck of bronies if MLP movie doesn’t get the #1 spot at the box office to them everything they did since 2010 goes down the toylet

Movie release date changed to October 6th, 2017. A month sooner than before.
