Also, Autumn Blaze was the perfect ambassador to introduce kirin to the rest of the world. A first impression like hers deserves a medal of some kind. Call me biased, but…eh, I don’t care. She’s an absolute delight.

I’ve been wanting Kirin to be canon for quite a while along with Hippogriffs. While the latter didn’t happen in the way that I wanted to (usually Hippogriffs are the offspring of a Griffon and a Horse), I’m glad we were able to get both in the series.
 
I agree with Derpyfast in that they have some pretty good color schemes and their fluffy manes look adorable. I also really like their Nirik forms as well.

The pony/dragon crossover dynamics would have been interesting at the school of friendship. I could imagine an episode where a kirin was sought after for advice on pony/dragon interactions, and she wouldn’t have a clue what to do, so she just makes shit up to save face. A few misadventures later, and she’s atoning for her ignorance.
 
Certainly underused. It’s up to the fans to make them more!

If you’d like a floofypone OC, I could try my hand at it! I could always use the practice, and we definitely need more kirin in the world! PM me sometime if my style strikes your fancy. I don’t charge a dime at the moment. Just trying to hone my skills.

Anyway, I have some quite different reasons to like the Kirin…
 
One, it’s I’ve always been extremely interested in Eastern Asian cultures as whole, so getting a creature inspired by one of the mythological creatures from that region was like “OMG, yes!” for me.
 
Another, is way more personal… Suffice to say that I saw my own personal struggle in the plight of the Kirin as a whole. I’m not willing to share more in this thread beyond “I identify with Kirin, Kirin gud.”

The floof/cuteness in general is a big reason why I like the Kirin.

I did dream that I made a special event for kirins like a Kirin day to celebrate cute kirins, I did get to hug Cinder gosh that was something I pushed my face into her fluff

Aaaaaand we have Pony Life Kirin!
