What will today’s adventure be?

So there’s a pony with an actual star! So many MLP’s are solid color, though G4 has a pinto colt. I suppose frame overos would raise lethal white syndrome issues.

April Foals’ Day?

Hello everyone. I’ve just been linked to this thread. I’ll try to lurk properly posting, but I love what I see!
 
I started my pony adventure as a G4 fan way back in series 1, but G1 has really grown on me because I am really reeeally old it’s basically my childhood era, after all. It’s just so cute and earnestly nice, with just enough to keep adults interested - particularly when you’re contrasting it with other gens and shipping the ponies together learning how the lore all slots together.
 
I’ve accidentally become a really massive fan of the UK G1 comics which were sold under the My Little Pony name with a later My Little Pony and Friends spinoff here. They were very long running, and they had their own lore and characters and continuity. I maintain a gallery of complete stories from those, and other earlier gen publications, in case you fancy a read.
 
Anyway here’s a couple of page spreads featuring Majesty, the horse queen you never see in the animations, behaving all cute and ever so slightly different from how she’s often portrayed these days. I’m SO strongly tempted to vector them if I can remember how Inkscape works.

Man, I remember using Ponyland Press to first learn about G1 in 2011 when I got interested in exploring the past.
 
Also Inkscape is pretty easy to figure out once you bget the hang of it. I wish I could give better advice, but I just learned it by myself.

These comics are lovely. Even though they were products of the 80’s and 90’s, many of them have the look and storytelling vibe of something that is much older, almost timeless. It lends itself to the thought that ponies have long honored traditions and culture that span for generations.
