How often is earth pony magic clearly shown in the fourth generation of My Little Pony in ways that can’t just be excused as “meaningless visual gags”?

Searching for images I could upload one day, I’m seeing some incredibly bad and stupid no effort image edits and pencil drawn art of stupid things. Things I dread one day someone is going to upload.

Which candidate supports funding G6?

Can ponies even play card games or video games?

Chancellor Neighsay is one of the worst characters in MLP: FiM. And not just because you’re supposed to hate him. Because he’s barely a character, and more of a strawman who only exists so Twilight can be in the right for opening a friendship school.

Well he’s reperesentive too of a lot of real world tendencies, unfortunately. Always assuming the foreign ones are the danger. And how friendship is the better force. Thankfully he learns this.

Not to mention the bonus of him being voiced by Maurice freaking LaMarche

To be honest I think Neighsay and School Daze and School Raze are better than many give credit for.

I think people just think Neighsay is just a racist. But I think more importantly he represents someone who is close minded.

Neighsay isn’t wrong to be worried for Canterlot’s saftey especially after what the changelings had done and the dragons threatened to do.

But he also ignores that the other creatures had made tremendous progress to better themselves and be born again thanks to the Mane Six’s efforts, which Neighsay dismisses as “useless adventures” when they actually made Equestria safer. Perhaps he doesn’t think its sincere, but thats him not opening up.

And School Raze shows him realizing the error of his ways. Assuming other creatures can’t have friendship and virtue, that ponies can be evil and that he himself also needed to change just like all creatures do.

I think it’s amazing how kind the Student Six were to Neighsay even after all he did.

Tldr I think Neighsay had a pretty good arc, though I think Season 8 could have been written better like the Mane Six teaching better or Twilight actually debating Neighsay with facts and logic.

I think the EEA arc might have been better if they’d split the complaints about how the School of Friendship really did suck and the bigotry between two different characters. Perhaps have a bit of an hourglass plot where the former comes around while the latter is initially supportive.

This happens to me everytime I sleep with my plushies.

I start my sleep while hugging Fluttershy. Then I open my eyes in the morning and realize I’m hugging Pinkie Pie.

One problem is that Neighsay could have use some real inncidents so he can be perceived as a guy who took the wrong lessons.

Griffons so far have no actual problems with ponies so maybe Gallus could get some slack from Neighsay. Point being, the mane 6 know better than Neighsay while the later only had experience with the bad experiences, making a more interesting conflict.

Also the leaders also declared war. Sure, missing students would be grave but the fact they easily suggest war brings a “not helping your case” situation. Really, is like a potentially good idea hindered by underwhelming execution.

You know I see what you mean.

I think one thing that could have made this better was if Twilight actally debated Neighsay with facts and her own experiences. And would clarify the points she made.

Then if Neighsay still refused to see reason, Twilight would truly be in the right.

Honestly Twilight in this season could have been a lot better. Same for the Mane Six. I wish we would have seen more of a wise mentor figures to also show their development.

I sometimes wonder what ponies would sound like if they had British voice actors and accents instead. Like seeing Rainbow with a brash British accent or Fluttershy with a sweet ladylike accent.
