Politics like diversity recently have been hand in hand with bad writing, and pandering for the sake of it. The plot itself while has nothing inherently wrong, has previous shows/games doing the same thing and being ditched by a LARGE amount of the fans has been seen time and time again, not because of the message, but because that message has been put ABOVE the quality and enjoyment, thus making a bad series (usually reboot)
