That's my fanfic version of Twilight in a nutshell. Except even crankier than Season 1 Twilight and more pessimistic.

And I forgot to add this point but that song to me shows how far Rainbow and Fluttershy came as characters.

I doubt Season 1 Rainbow would have had enough tact or patience to help Zephyr (also she amost failed and quit at her Wonderbolt exam, so she probably knew what it was like to feel hopeless on those occasions). And I doubt Season 1 Fluttershy would have had enough experience with overcoming her own fears to know that Zephyr could succeed in life despite his flaws.
